Hi, just wondering if someone could put up some kind of a list of all the important people involved in the case. I'm familiar with the victims and some friends and neighbors but with so many names mentioned it's like a jig saw puzzle trying to connect some pieces. It might help with figuring clues also. Thanks.

Conjecture alert! A van was reported by the pond, Carl S said he followed two cars from MV party to Keddie And hung out by the pond for why? Maybe because ripping off a couple of teenage punks is easier than ripping off their grown ass drug dealers. Was he waiting to pounce all by his lonesome, or was he some kind of look out?

Karl S is shady as hell. His story makes no sense.

I agree Skeptic that his stories sound shady but so do Chuck, Henry, and Phillip's. I believe this is what the police were dealing with at the time - too many rumors and stories floating around. I think it was Don Stoy that said so much time was wasted chasing down camp fire rumors but that everything had to be checked out.
As for Karl's story we have no idea which story (if any) he finally stuck to because we have never seen his interview. This is from the PON list:
SPANG, KARL Said he bought LSD from a "Dana" & a black that lives with a WMA on Lee Rd behind Big O Tire w/ Wht Mustang in front, "Dana" Y black were at LSD party in MV, V/Wingate & Sharp left party w/ "Dana" & another WMA to Keddie in a Blue LTD or similar car & Brn small car w/ 4 other people, Blue car had flat tire later, he followed 6 people (inc. John & Dana) to Keddie from party in MV <STOY>/<WRIGHT>/<CRIM>
The black mentioned here would be one of the Comptons and Daniel Schake would probably be the WMA who all lived on Lee Road and one of the Compton's owned a white mustang. This isn't a big deal until you think of where the boys were all night (all around Lee Road). This is from MK's comprehensive timeline under April 11,1981:
Time unknown Dana and Johnny are at a party at Brian C.'s house in East Quincy on Lee Road. Drugs and alcohol were consumed at this party. Two unidentified male subjects from Oroville are at Brian C.'s party. Subjects are described as "weird types." One subject was driving a black pickup truck with red stripes on the side and the other subject was driving a small, tan, compact vehicle, possibly a Ford Pinto. Brian C. said that Danny S. took the keg over and the stereo over to Brian's and then Danny took the stereo home after the party. Danny stated that the party at Brian's didn't materialize, so they drank the keg and played cards at his house next door (stated in an interview on 2-7-85 to Wright). Clyde (?) S. related that he had a party at his residence on Lee Road. S. states that Steve D. was at his party. S. does not believe that Frank A. was attended the party. <Leonard>
So Brian Compton said Johnny and Dana were at his house that night? Clyde S said Steve Durham was at his house also on Lee Street (remember Steve claimed to have picked the boys up around 9:30 - 10:00pm and drove them to Ganser park and back to the Exxon).
Karl claimed to have been buying drugs from one of the Comptons, and claimed to know Johnny, Dana, Sue and Tina and was also sitting at the Keddie Pond about the time the boys are said to have gone home. Why? Who knows. The Dana he mentioned was determined to be Dana Green. Was that determination based on what Mark D or Cruzita J said? If so it appears there was never any confusion between Dana Wingate and Dana Green - it was just determined that the other Dana who Karl referred to was probably Dana Green.
DELIZIO, MARK Info on drug dealer, 4/10/81 guy told Sue he should kill her, Cruzita Jaramillo was witness, Jaramillo said it was different Sue, connected Dana Green w/ "Dana" that Spang said was at party in MV <WRIGHT>/<STOY>
If this all seems a bit confusing just imagine what the police were dealing with.

Hello, the episode of the Love Boat that night was titled "Vicki and the Gambler / Love with a Skinny Stranger / That Old Gang of Mine". Has anyone watched that episode? We know they watched it shortly before the murders and also that Justin's "dream" involved a boat.
I'd bet them younger boys found/we given LSD.

I’m not sure about the young boys being on LSD. If they were on LSD, they wouldn’t have slept at all, and they were so little at the time it would have had way more of an effect on them then Johnny and Dana. But I do believe maybe they were drugged? I think it’s a slight possibility. Maybe with a sleeping pill or something of that sort

I haven't watched the "Love Boat" episode but certainly need to! As for the younger boys being drugged that sounds so possible but certainly Rick (who was about to turn 11 in July - Justin had just turned 12 maybe the week before) would have remembered being woken from his sleep to take something. Or if he was given something before bed then he should remember who gave it to him - Sue, Tina, or Justin?
In a statement taken from MK's timeline this is what he and Justin told:
Josh Hancock, who was very loyal to this family said that Ricky told him that he (Ricky) was the key to solving this case. Sheila even said on the forum (between 2012-2104) that she thought Ricky knew things but didn't want to talk about it. That's really what makes me think they possibly lied to protect Tina because they thought she was coming back to explain everything herself - but Justin talked. And hey I could be wrong but the possibility of them lying for Marty this many years after his death is really slim -

Well shit, if he is the key to solving this what could possibly be making him keep his mouth shut? If I were Sheila, I would force it out of him lol. Also, if Ricky can solve it it’s possible Justin can too. Have the police gone after him? Have they questioned either of them since this happened? These are the questions that keep me mind blown when it comes to this case

I'm telling you, someone needs to watch that episode. For example-in movies/tv people are often incapacitated by being hit over the head with a bottle or whatever. Are there any scenes from that episode depicting that or any other violence? Someone needs to watch that episode.

If someone can link me the episode or where to watch it I’ll do it tonight after dinner. I’ve always been interested in what they watched that night

I don't think they were drugged, unless it was a cruel prank played on the boys by John/Dana. Justin may have drugged Ricky. Maybe they found some LSD in John's basement or perhaps Marty left some out. Justin was the oldest among them boys, they would have very much followed his lead. Perhaps he roped Tina into taking some. People have been known to lose their minds from a bad trip. Imagine taking lsd and then witnessing that shit? At her age, mental and physical.

Or maybe of Johnny and Dana were at a party that night with acid, they could have been involved with someone having a bad trip? Or something along those lines. The possibilities seem too endless

Maybe like Snoho said Justin incorporated some of what he heard from the tv into his dream. MK posted on her forum years ago that she had watched the love boat episode and saw no connection (still I'd like to see it myself). But Justin told the police he went to sleep during "Fantasy Island" so maybe something was picked up during that? Maybe we need to watch the episode of Fantasy Island.
Kay my mind is blown with some of the same questions.
