Hi Lanao! Thank you for your post & glad to have you here! You summed up the problems with the case perfectly, as did kmik's reply. The prevailing theory does not match the crime scene or the evidence. And since it's takeover, any information contradicting it has been locked away. The majority of the public only has available to them items pertaining to that theory. This case is mind boggling, and a spider web indeed. There is much more to this case than MMB. Each of the victims were classified as high risk and there are numerous possibilities.
Johnny & Dana allowing themselves to be bound is the most difficult aspect of this case to me as well. Both boys were indeed feisty, especially Johnny and I have a hard time seeing they just allowed someone to tie them up without putting up a fight. They had no defensive wounds, as you said it appears as if they didn't see this coming. I also wonder if they were incapacitated unexpectedly and then bound. The alternative scenario is they allowed themselves to be bound bc they didn't believe things would escalate as they did. Sue on the other hand had stepped in a significant amount of blood and had defensive wounds on her hands. It appears she came out after something had started with the boys.
I also do not believe Sheila had anything to do with these murders. Tina, on the other hand, I'm not so sure. It is such a touchy subject & I feel guilty every time it's brought up. However, one thing has been consistent throughout the years, and that is there is so little information available Tina. We know she was a victim of abuse and recently it has come to light that she was propositioning men for money. There's no telling who she came in contact with. I'm not saying she planned for this to happen, but things could have spiraled out of control because of someone she was involved with.
On the other hand, there are aspects of the crime scene that make it appear something started with Johnny and Dana. The attacks started shortly after they arrived home. They didn't even have time to take of their outerwear or shoes. Johnny's wallet was tossed behind the couch. Numerous rumors of drugs & drug rip offs. LSD comes up repeatedly. The toxicology results have never been released. But again, files pertaining to any of the above are not going to be released because they contradict and would cause people to question the prevailing theory.
I find it impossible to believe DNA from an outside source cannot be identified on the hundred+ items of evidence collected from the scene. But so far, that's the way it appears. Justin's DNA was the only DNA identified, on the piece of tape on the floor. Which was located more outside the "kill zone". A 2014 DNA report showed "female DNA, DNA from at least two males and a secondary minor female DNA profile". The main female contributor was found to be a result of contamination and belonged to the previous analyst. But what about the other profiles? This was identified on a piece of brown electrical cord, cut from the lamp in the girls room. This needs to be looked into further. DNA profiles can be separated with today's technology and if performed by a lab specializing in advanced testing. IMO, any item that hasn't been tested in recent years needs to be retested. DNA in 2022 is a lot more advanced than DNA testing in 2004.
I also find it impossible to believe the perpetrators thought to wear gloves yet supposedly only brought medical tape and a bb gun to the scene. Both items may have already been in the cabin in fact. There was an unidentified print recovered from the living room wall. Marty and Bo's prints were compared and ruled out for that print. PCSO also have DNA on Marty, Bo, Marilyn, and Dee, none have been matched to the crime scene.
Looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts! PS we started a new forum and would love to have you (& everyone else!) Join us over there : )
