Remember: We have to take Bawart's word for Mageau "identifying Allen." Bawart, Narlow, Toschi, Lundblad, Bidou, and the rest of the publicity hounds were more interested in telling tall tales than solving any actual homicide cases.
There's another good question: What did Darlene's parents tell police the night she died? That report has never been released. Even Jake Wark never saw it. There's NO WAY they didn't tell police they suspected Crabtree. That doesn't make him guilty, but there is NO other reason for keeping that report "confidential."
And that's not all that's funny. Darlene was his SECOND temporary wife. No one knows the name of the German broad he married when he was stationed overseas. He once told a friend he killed her. But what's REALLY funny is, no one has ever tracked down Shirley, his third wife and mother of his kids. I found his kids. But NO TRACE of Shirley, maiden name Goddard.
I have, however, tracked down his birth parents. Who are they? That's for me to know and Voigt to find out.
Intellius thinks Crabtree died in 2015. The funny thing is, he still posts on his Facebook page...

There is a company in Europe called Zodiac Aerospace. Could one of the military suspects have worked there, they had a sales office in America in 1970.

It is possible the killer worked in Europe in the military came back to Europe and became a cop. It might explain the pointed torch at those in the car. I do wonder if the lawyer met the killer. A merchant seaman in the 70's might be the killer going back to the old life, around 40 ish giving up the killing....

I have been reading your posts and listening to your podcasts on the Zodiac Hoax theory. I have some information which I believe can prove the names listed on the July 21, 1969 police report about individuals who were arrested. In short I partially agree with you as to the names, but not totally. I have information to back up my names, and to (I believe) verify the two names on the report. If you would like I can email you a MS Word doc, or PDF, with the information I found.

Ken Narlow was an investigator on the Berryesa case, in the last years of his life he was still looking for the killer, he had tons of files, including the originals at his house when he died. The Napa police came a few days after his funeral and grabbed them all. If Narlow had original files at his house, he was breaking the law. He would probably be breaking the law if he also had copies of the files. He could keep anything he discovered himself.
