I wanted to make a thread where we could all link podcasts, articles, etc on the case. Some of these have been linked elsewhere but others are new. Please add any worthy media you may come across : ) 1.) Amazing people doing amazing things. The Murder Squad, Paul Holes & Billy Jensen. Solving cold cases, offering assistance to local police departments including consultations, investigative strategies, providing resources & connections within in the FBI, DNA Specialists, Genetic Genealogy Specialists, financial funding, & getting the word out on the importance of familial DNA, allowing your profile to be added to GED match to help solve these cases. Help spread the word, show them some love by giving a like & maybe a review. And "keep digging". #hotforholes #murdersquad Here is the link for their Keddie episode: • themurdersquad.com/episodes/the-keddie-cabin-murders/2.) Some more amazing people, Fresh Hell Podcast. I recently found this podcast through their YouTube channel & episode on Keddie. I appreciated they took the time to do their own research and didn't take things at face value, as most podcasts do. I liked their caring approach & kind nature. Show them some love as well : ) Here is Part 2 of their Keddie episode. Part 1 can be found on their YouTube channel as well: • 3.) 40th anniversary piece by Sacramento's ABC10. It is a 2 part series for their Unsolved California series. Part 1 aired on 4/16/21. Part 2 has not aired yet but will include interviews with Hagwood & Gamberg. Part 1: • www.abc10.com/amp/article/news/crime/true-crime/murder-in-cabin-28-keddie-murders-unsolved-california/103-1e3e7671-8c2c-4f4c-abb3-fae3ae07425eAnd here is FB Live the host, Madison Wade, did prior to the airing of part 1: • m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=316444493177029&id=100044344420203

I have watched this, even though it has been hard. If you take out all of the speculation that has no police report to back it up, you have very little information. He refers to "hillbilly" as a term to describe Tina's name. I guess the Sharps were "hillbillies" because they watch Gilligan's Island. A very popular show at the time. Well nothing is more "hillbilly" than trading your home in for an RV and camping out in the woods of Plumas co. to try to solve a case you don't have all the facts to do so. In the time his face was on the podcast he was scratching so much that maybe he has bedbugs or flee's. Not to mention that the guy interviewing him is eating. Oh it was disgusting.
I am transcribing it. I will post it when I finish.
New information is that he has solved the Kathy Howard case also.
Oh and the definition of the loonibi and toonibi (not sure about that spelling). I don't think the guy had any idea what he was talking about.
He needs to pack up, go home, get on a good diet, go by the barber shop and then see a therapist. Why is he there?

It's literally ALL he has. I got about 15 minutes into the 2nd one and I just can't. With the leaps in logic this guy takes he should be heading to Tokyo this summer. Moron

Thanks for posting this! As usual it's leaves a lot of lingering questions.
1. Why isn't the PCSO the contact for information on these murders?
2. Are Gamberg (retired) and Hagwood (retired) the investigators now?
3. They are closer than ever to solving this case? It's 40 years old and we thought in 2016 they were on the brink of solving it.
4. There was a "lovers triangle" possibly and "so many angles" to go with and something about Tina who was possibly "raped, pregnant, or knew something" she wasn't supposed to? If they are closer than ever to solving this case then shouldn't they have the answers to these possibilities?
5. Marty and Bo literally fled the area within a day or so of the crimes? Bo didn't leave until Tuesday or Wednesday going to Klammath Falls (I think he told them where to find him) and Marty was engaged in a jailhouse exchange with Wade on 4-18-81. According to Dmac, Doug Thomas and Shanks rode Marty around in their cruiser trying to extract information from him. He was back in Plumas a few months after the murders leaving a note on the door of Joe Armanino. They literally fled the area? Bo wasn't even from Plumas.
6. How are they so sure this rusty hammer is Marty's?? Do they have any idea how long it takes for a hammer to rust in a hole that fills up with water?
7. No explanation for why Marty would throw a hammer in the pond after dumping crime scene trash at the Keddie store.
8. Madison Wade shows the full Love Letter. Thank you Madison. But did she not read it?
I think this is what really baffles me: with the exception of Josh Seabold, I have never seen a reporter on this case yet who knew their info enough to challenge what they are being told.
Do you know if there's a part 3? Maybe she will actually ask them some questions instead of letting them tell her the same old same old.
Thanks Hope!

I will never buy that hammer as evidence considering how it was found.

I know getem! How many more times will they say, "the hammer was too rusty to extract DNA"? So they know it's Marty's hammer because??? Did he say he threw his hammer in the pond?? Why didn't he bury it along with the buck knife they found buried by the Keddie store - or in the garbage bin with actual evidence? Why no more mention of that buried buck knife?
I'm not from the area but it's always been my understanding that the Keddie "pond" was just a hole that might or might not fill up with water depending on the amount of rainfall.
Seems they've got all of this "evidence" at the PCSO yet still no trace of unidentifiable DNA?

Well after watching this i am more convinced that they have no EVIDENCE, just like the previous detectives that have looked at this case.
GREG: "It was a solvable case." (Yet he couldn't do it either.)
MIKE: "It was personal to me." (He tears up yet he never tried to solve it before 2013.)
INTERVIEWER: "All the evidence inside is stored at the PCSO." (Oh great!!!! Maybe after all these years the new sheriff will let them finally test the evidence!!)
INTERVIEWER: "And they found even more evidence in a pound ...) (Oh yes, the hammer. The one a caller reported to dmac not Mike?")
MIKE: "It was a lover's triangle." ( A triangle?? Let's see Marty-Sue, Marilyn-Wade)
GREG: "Two out there possibly accessories after the fact.." (uhm...........)

I had some of the same questions myself!
1/2. If Hagwood & Gamberg are retired then why are they the ones being interviewed? Regardless of how many years they worked on the case, neither are currently working for PCSO. At least the last we heard. Maybe they are back as special investigators? But we also heard the budget had dried up and that's why Gamberg was no longer working the case.
5. Yes, that is not fleeing within a day or 2. Marty & Bo told LE exactly where they were heading to & where they would be staying. Doesn't seem like they were fleeing or trying to hide from LE.
6. The hammer. First off, did they get a Pathologist to review the autopsy findings & give their opinion??? Because the initial examination never said there were 2 different sized hammers used. That is something Dmac concluded. And Dmac is not a Pathologist. That hammer may have nothing to do with the murders.
7. I have wondered this same thing. Why would Marty (or anyone) go around Keddie hiding evidence in all these different places? Let's see, we have the hammer thrown in the pond, the bloody tissues & knife in the dumpster, the buck knife somehere by the store, the pink jumpsuit in Spanish Creek. That's weird. They also had Tina to hide. That means either during the late night/early morning hours of 4/11-4/12 Marty was able to take Tina across the swinging bridge to hide her, walk back over the bridge, then finish in 28, hang around to do some staging, then head to the pond & store to hide some more evidence in different locations. All without not one person seeing him. And people were out and about as we know from the statements.
8. I really wish someone would ask some real questions such as:
• Is there physical evidence connecting these suspects to the murders?
• What is the status of the evidence? Is it being tested?
• How about DNA? Were the suspects a match to anything in the cabin (since you do have their DNA on file to compare to)? What has been testing, what could still be tested? Is there still unmatched DNA from the scene as stated years ago? Have you considered trying advanced DNA techniques?
I'm not sure if there will be a part 3 coming out. I believe Madison Wade said it would be a 2 part series, so is probably all we got unfortunately.

Karis pointed this out to me but didn't have time to post. On the Madison Wade segment the Butte 911 call was played with captions and the caption said "the "girl" found at Feather Falls but the caller actually said the "skull" found at Feather Falls. Meaning if the caller knew on 6-5-84 that the skull was a female before it was identified on 6-18-84 as being female then the caller might possibly have known it was Tina. What a stretch - but isn't it wild that the 911 operator told the caller that the skull was male before it was even identified (they thought it was a missing boy from San Francisco). She better thank her lucky stars she was wrong! Madison Wade said that Gamberg told her that whoever made the call knew something specific about what happened at Keddie. Did he he get that from what has been played? Did we not hear the entire call?

I caught that too. He 100% says skull so why is "girl" written in the captions? Was it an error by abc10, did they transcribe the recording? Or were they given the transcript of the 911 call by PCSO? Which would mean PCSO has that detail wrong, & it's an important detail because there's a big difference from calling in a tip about a skull being found (as the public was asked to do by BSCO) and saying it was a girl, which was unknown at the time.
Why is it that every little thing gets slightly twisted in the case? And then the twisted truth becomes the facts of the case? How many times have we heard that Tina's remains were found on the 3 year anniversary? That's not correct. And I've even heard / read several times that this phone call was received exactly on the 3 year anniversary. These little details/errors make a big difference because it turns it into something it's not.
And yep, we have heard the full 911 call and it is not "damning" or proof that the caller had inside knowledge. Unless PCSO truly believes he says girl instead of skull. Of course this person will never come forward since they were immediately named a suspect. Great job there.
