Didn't Darlene Ferrin work at the same IHOP on Tennessee St. which is stated in the police report posted here? Is it possible that a drug ring/network was operating in or around the restaurant? Mike Mageau states in the police report from his hospital room interview that Darlene "knew" a lot of people. When I was a teenager and young adult, one who may have allegedly partaken in certain once illegal substances, "knowing" people meant of those who had drugs for sale. I live right over the Benicia Bridge and have driven on 680 & 780 many times, knowing that LHR and Columbus Pkwy connect. Taking into account a possible drug dealing locale as being associated with both Faraday and Ferrin should not be ruled out as being mutually exclusive from one another. This seems to be a strong connection between two separate murder cases, both of which were claimed by the alleged Zodiac.
Is it possible or even probable that the same person was responsible for both the LHR and BRS murders? Could it be a gun for hire by Ott? Or even someone else involved with an alleged drug ring at or near the IHOP?
I'm not inferring any Zodiac serial murderer or the letter writer is responsible for both murders, just that the connection between IHOP, drugs, and the proximity of the two murder events, both in time period and geography, lend to the possibility of one person committing the crimes.
One big question I continue to have in the Zodiac connection with these murders is why would someone decide on these two events as those he chose to take responsibility for? The SF Bay Area has an extremely large population and area. That, coupled with the Chron not reporting on these murders until the letters came in. Only the local papers did. Or is it possible the killer wrote the letters to divert any attention away from the IHOP drug ring and their possible connection? However if this was the case, wouldn't this killer technically be the Zodiac? LB and SF murders notwithstanding.

Markus: Thanks for your questons! The problem is, you have stumbled on this website, but you haven't read the books. The "footnotes" in the books are links that bring you here to discuss the original files, etc. Now then, your questions are answered in great detail in these books, especially the second one: Graysmith's book is debunked here: tinyurl.com/GZKH1986BookIf you'd like to know who REALLY wrote the Zodiac Killer letters: tinyurl.com/GZKH1969-Kindle-2nd-Edition

The problem with "profiling" the "Zodiac Killer" is simply that there was no Zodiac Killer. There was no connection between the murders at all, and in fact, all of the evidence (there was a lot more than Graysmith reported) tends to rule out any connection. I reeeeeeaaaalllllly recommend you read my books. It's not one or two things; it's EVERYTHING. Gsmith spelled the names of the victims correctly, and that's about it.
