Hmmmmm
According to SF Weekly article by Lisa Davis dated 10/15/97, Zayed didn't start working at the Pinecrest Diner until 1975.
"Hashem Zayed came to the Pinecrest in 1975. He was 39 years old, a recent immigrant from Jordan with a wife and children. Helen Menicou joined the diner two years later, a 29-year-old wife and the mother of two small children......."

Zayed had plenty of kids he couldn't pay for. Menicou was one of the best friends he had, if that tells you anything.
No two articles in the Chronicle ever told the same story twice about the pieces of Stine's shirt. I'm not exaggerating. The confusion about the 1975 date is a result of a chronicle reporter mistaking some date recorded concerning his immigration status (citizenship? I don't remember off the top of my head) with the date he first arrived in SF. Zayed definitely started working at the Pinecrest in the early summer of 1969. He was a refugee from the 1967 Arab Israeli War.

Ah! you found one (it's kind of low-resz.) Excellent! In his original booking photo (which I cannot find) the three semi-parallel scars on the right side of his neck are more visible. The "revised" sketch (produced after Armstrong and the sketch artist re-interviewed the three kids) shows the scars on the right side of the killer's neck.

He had like three jobs at all times. He worked in half the diners in the city at one time or another. But Zayed can't be the "Zodiac" for the simple reason that he didn't get off the boat until the spring of 1969.

I don't think he is. But I think it would helpful to link him to some other cab robberies. Since he very well may have robbed a cab driver he flagged outside the diner he worked at, he may have done the same thing at other jobs.

Oh, he absolutely fit the profile of the guy SFPD was looking for in those cab robberies. I think what happened with Stine was very simple--the hair trigger on that notorious Beretta .380.

This guy
That guy looks like he has a large Middle-East nose. The sketch of Stine's killer has a small nose. I am not a face expert, but I don't think a nose will grow that much as a person ages.

So how's about this say I go down town and pic up a person and carry them to Vallejo and then turn around and take a trip to blue rock springs and find a couple and bring them some where, so now I'm able to travel from place to place with out intruption because im a cab driver I can go any way, when is the last time you saw a cab pulled over, so this is what I'm getting at you wanna know who the Zodiac is look no further its him PS Paul Stine he is the zodiac he is the only one who can escape through the streets he's a cab driver and a journalist had alot of time in that cab to write and stew over stuff and I think those letters were wrote in the cab and delivered at the end of his shifts to the chronicle and examiner. He is the only one who could have drove these great distances without being detected with a cab in broad day light, also the letters prior to his death ps was without a period k are different and the way its written is like it was meant to be sloppy the originals were sloppy but effective all letters post Stines death are different the killings stopped the manner in which he died was significant but he was only shot one time by some 25 30 yr old dude not dressed like Zodiac with a 9 mm not a 38. Bogus letters happened after his death. Stines death was sloppy wrong gun never out in the open always secluded not zodiac tells me only one thing, some one took out Zodiac
