Well, these sickos love their symbology and numbers so I'm still willing to be convinced of The Processes involvement.

Well, these sickos love their symbology and numbers so I'm still willing to be convinced of The Processes involvement. Yes, the nature (and extent) of the link remains uncertain. I've tried to picture different scenarios: was there a meeting, for example, where the leaders of the Yonkers cult told their followers that they would now be taking orders from Process Church honchos? Or was it less clear-cut than that? There seem to have been at least a couple of Yonkers cultists--like "Brother Ed" (Ralph Marcel)--who also had Process titles, so maybe the leaders of the two groups crossed paths because they had followers in common. Or maybe the Yonkers group of 22 were just imitating the hierarchy of the Process without any formal link between the two. I wish we knew more.

Tonight I stumbled onto one of "Trudy's" Facebook posts in the Unofficial page. S/he posted an unnamed photo of Susan Conway (which prompted another member to ask, "Susan Conway or Wendy K?") and gave a few biographical details, such as she got busted for "a pretty big robbery in terms of dollars" and died at 50.
"IMO, her trip to Canada is both fascinating and scary. The Process sent her, "Brother Ed" [Ralph Marcel, pictured below] and another woman to meet at a safe house in Montreal with violent members of the then-active Quebec Liberation Front (QLF)." This is said to have occurred around 74-75.
Anybody know anything about this QLF? Weren't they pretty much done by '71?

Thanks a million, ace! It's amazing to see a photo of Ralph/Brother Ed at last. There were major arrests of QLF members in 1971, so I'm not sure precisely what state the organization was in after that, but members who remained militant and went underground might have been exactly the types that Suzanne Conway, Ralph Marcel and the unnamed third member of the group would have sought out. Suzanne indeed had a considerable history of this kind of activity by the mid-70s, stretching from Yonkers to Florida and Puerto Rico and back. I and others are still trying to sort out her history.

Marcel, by the way, had been to Montreal before: in 1965 he was arrested there (along with two other young men) for possession of a car that had been stolen in New York City. Possibly he forged links with the QLF at that time, and maintained them over the years. One of the two men arrested with Marcel was named Miguel Rodriguez. I've found nothing further on him, but in "The Ultimate Evil," Maury Terry noted that the man eventually arrested for the murder of Howard Weiss (friend of Berkowitz and 'Peter Shane') was Weiss's boyfriend; Terry identified him only as Rodriguez. Could this be the Miguel Rodriguez arrested in 1965 with Ralph Marcel? (And might he have been a relative of murdered cult member Susette Rodriguez?) I don't know.

Happy to help, Jon! I’ve got complaints about Maury’s alleged misdirections in the back of my mind so I thought I’d run that bit past you guys to see if it rings true. I appreciate it! I'd love to know more about the odd circumstances of Marcel's death, but I've had such bad luck requesting material from police agencies that I never attempted to contact Jacksonville Beach PD. (They actually charge you just for the search, whether they choose to part with anything they find or not.)

Out-mother-hugging-STANDING, folks!!! The QLF, eh (get it?) SLA. BPP. NOI. KKK. [Filippino] KKK. Bluebirds/Aryan Brotherhood. Neonazis. And I suggest, from reading the letters, that "Zodiac" was more of a TERRORIST than a "serial killer." What do QLF and neonazis have in common? Maybe nothing. But very likely, they aaaallll have to deal with the SAME ARMS TRAFFICKERS. And where do they get the money? Dealing with the same narcotics traffickers. And how do those narcotics and arms traffickers aaaalllll launder their ill-gotten money across national borders? Citibank Traveler's Cheques. Who's in charge of "overseeing" those? Carl Denaro's REAL stepfather. American Express Traveler's Cheques are just too secure. Citi, Bank of America (formerly known as Bank of Italy,) and Nugan Hand are notorious back in the day. Hell, it's STILL the most popular way to launder money. Leno LaBianca ripped off a mob-owned LA bank for over $150,000 cash from traveler's cheques he sold in his "grocery" stores. WHERE would, oh, say, Leonard Lake GET his munitions he traded for pot and snuff films? Same "people." WHO would sell Frykowski his MDMA, smuggled in from Canada (before the new lab was up an running in Boston?) Who would sell Billy Doyle his cocaine to undercut/compete with the same "people" selling cocaine to the same "people" like Pic Dawson's friends? Same "people." Who would hire/manipulate Leonard Lake, or Tex Watson, or Danny DeCarlo, or David Berkowitz, or Luka Magnotta, etc, etc, etc, to bump off certain people dealing with, or ratting on, these same "people?" Same "people."
I think we're pretty much solving this "mystery." No real mystery, after all. Just the same old same old, gussied up in tabloid trash tossed out by "people" like cooperative cops, DAs, and reporters.
BTW, you will never, ever guess just how many of our POIs across aaalll these cases grew up speaking Quebecois/French. So, I'll show you on this upcoming series of episodes. I am shooting for May 22ish. But the way you people keep coming up with facts, photos, documents, etc...

Here's a couple of items that might be of interest:
This is the documentary about The Process that came out a few years back called Sympathy for the Devil.
Next up we have The Anatomy of Witchcraft. This is not Berk's copy, obviously, but The Process, the Four Pi, Chingons, etc., they're all in there there.
