Several news sources use the name "John Boubede," though Robert Scott claims in his book Masters of True Crime: Chilling Stories of Murder and the Macabre (2012) that this was the result of a reporting error, and that his name was in fact John Boudee, and that he went by the nickname "Bo".

Thanks for that Snoho! If Bo wasn’t willing at age 30 to enter a home after hearing someone was inside I’d find it unlikely that 10 years later he would have entered 28 with a house full.
Seems they were thieves not murderers. And I kinda doubt Keddie would have been a good place steal anything of value. Maybe Mollaths place but not 28

My thoughts exactly kmik! seems like they knocked first to see if any one was home, thinking not as no one answered, they come in through the back. Faced with a single woman, they hightailed it. I thought this was a good example of how Bo operated. Best opportunity with lowest risk. Non-violent, Non-confrontational.

And here's the thing I've been reluctant to talk about: many people seem kind of naive to the workings of "organizations" and "clubs". Bo was week, Bo was sloppy, Bo talked toooo goddamn much. An unsanctioned hit for your jealous housemate, at a close neighbors, while seen in the area, prolongily and sloppily committed, would land a person in hot (boiling) water with their superiors. Ive also never known anyone to be apart of a club" or "organization" who wasn't armed, and yet Bo had to steal an old .22?

I've always felt the organized crime thing was a bunch of crap. Marty's a dealer and bo's a gangster and they can't come up with a car payment? or a working car? Either it's bullshit or they were the worst gangsters ever.

Amen and Amen. If anyone seriously entertains that crap it's got to be because they've never read the files and just accept the "Popular - I'd rather not do any research myself - Theory". That goes for Mike and Greg as well
Not only was Marty unable to produce the payment on the Pinto, Bo didn't even have a car or a place to call his own. Murder?? For what reason?? Sue Sharp didn't have anyting that Bo or Marty needed (money, money, money). They certainly didn't need to be caught up in a murder investigation when they had their hearts set on scamming in Klammath Falls with the possibility of actually making some money.
In Bo's interveiw with Crim/Bradley they told him this thing (investigation) might go on for some time and Bo says (loudly interrupting),"God I hope not". Bradley then says, "Well ,I hope not, but there's a good chance it will.
Bo had just left Reno with his sights on Klammath Falls and making money but instead ended up in the middle of a murder investigation - so I can certainly feel his frustration when he said, "God, I hope not". It's almost comically obvious that Crim and Bradley did not buy the lies that he told as far as Marilyn being his neice, his occupation, and being a retired police officer. Bo said himself that Justin seemed to know an awful lot of what happened but probably didn't want to expand any further because he didn't want to get caught up in it. He just wanted to get through the interview and on to Klammath Falls.

Yes, you can hear that in Bo's voice during his interview! What he says about Justin was always telling to me. He talks about Justin's behavior afterwards & when asked if he thought Justin saw something Bo says "I'm afraid he might have". If MMB were the ones in the cabin that night, you would think Bo would have said "no I don't think he saw anything. He claims he slept through the night & that's all he has said to us." Instead he admits Justin may have seen something which could only lead to more questioning of Justin.
He also throws in the lie about being shot & impotent, most likely because he assumed Sue had been raped. Which she hadn't. Although he lied throughout his interview he also told LE he was leaving Keddie & where he would be going/staying. Meaning, he wasn't trying to hide or get out of town, from LE at least.

I wanted to acknowledge who brought up about why Bo would bring up being impotent. I looked back, but can't find it (on my phone at work where I saw it first I'm usually not signed in...ssshhh). But yeah it's really weird to bring that up, and yeah not knowing what went down maybe assuming someone was raped is a good theory. Take your like whoever! haha

This is part of a transcript, the whole thing can be found under keddie cabin 28 police documents on this board. Dang it, Know I've heard the tape before... Boubede: Hm-mm, hm-mm. And, uh, That's it. Caught a bullet...
Crim: and Bradley: [in uninson] Is that right?
Boubede: caught me through my hip, uh, and through my groin, uh, up in through here, uh, severed some nerves and, uh,... Shot me up pretty badly, so...
Bradley: Boy, you're lucky! Dang lucky!
Boubede: Not really. Not really, umm... umm, I'm, completely, umm, impotent.
Crim: [in unison with Bradley] Oh, wow.
Bradley: Oh are you really?
Boubede: Yeah..
Bradley: Done the job on you, huh?
Boubede: Uh-huh, tried his damnest. Tried his damnest. Only got 10 years for it.
Bradley: Is that right?
Crim: All he got huh?
Bradley: Made you totally impotent though huh?
Boubede: Uh-huh. [Pause] uh... [pause] uhhh... Nothing! Let's put it that way: NOTHING!
Bradley: Hmm! What about desire?
Boubede: Oh, yes! [laughter] Yes.
Bradley: Lots of desire but you can't.
Boubede: Yes! but that's all, but that's all.

Some of the audio from Marty & Bo's interviews are on part 2 of the documentary. I can't remember if that specific section of Bo's interview is on there or not.
I recently watched the documentary again, because I was also looking for a section of audio i had remembered. If you go back & listen to their interviews will you let me know what you think of them? Is it what you remember? It is different to me but I'd like to know what you think of it before I elaborate. I also thought more of the audio used to be available online but have been unable to find it.
Oh yeah, a little while ago you asked about audio of 974. That was in the documentary as well & I forgot to tell you. I believe it is audio from a LE interview with him.

In the past, some of us have tossed around the idea of FOIA regarding the Keddie Murders, and it sounded like a tough nut to crack. Shouldn't long dead gangsta ass Bo have an extensive FBI file? Bo's a dead end in my book, but I would be curious
