The cigarettes were camels, which weren’t Sues preferred type supposedly so that’s why people were so fixed on them because they could have been the suspects, but they also could have been Johnny or Dana’s. Also, if Dana’s parents had drug and alcohol problems, why did they only take him out of the home and not his siblings? Did they also take the siblings? I thought I read somewhere that the three sisters still lived at home.

According to Josh's book, Gary Wingate is the one who turned to the Dorris family for help with Dana after he smashed out some lights at the airport and he and a buddy slashed about a thousand dollars' worth of tires in Quincy. Just a few years before the murders Dana ran away from home and was found by a search and rescue team. Six months before the murders he had a car wreck while driving a car (without a license) Trish Pettis, Vernal Mullen, and Kim Bissell were with him. This was reported to the DA for possible prosecution for driving without a license. The FBI report mentioned him setting a cat on fire. So it appears that Dana was sent away because of his troubles and yes I think the 3 younger girls still lived with Gary.
I feel like the Dorrises were really good people but cannot imagine him being sent to live with a family whose rules seem a bit lax. Maybe that's why Dana's dad said in a documentary outtake that Dana was about to be moved to a more secure home.

The name of the book is Cabin 28: The Keddie Murders and it's 84 pages long and tells nothing that you haven't already heard. However my sister and I didn't care what was or was not in it we wanted to see for ourselves so we bought one from Amazon for $55. (Warning: they can be priced much higher than that).

What if Dana didn't leave his diabetic kit elsewhere, what if it was taken? Like by someone who didn't know any better and thought they were taking a drug kit? I know Marilyn's statements are sketchy to say the least but her and (wade?) allegedly found needless in the basement, but she also claimed (and I believe her here for whatever reason) that marde only used pot and pills. Hmmmm

You have to take into account that Marilyn told the "needle story" years after the murders in a post on the forum - but Glenna Meeks said she had talked to Wade and he did not remember that. Also only one person claimed to have seen Dana with a brown bag that night - and surely Dan Dorris told the police what he left the receiving home with so the police would know if he had a kit that was missing or not.

Dana was reportedly selling black beauties in the weeks before the murders. In wondering where he would have gotten them, I think back to what admin Horan said about the Philippine gal, her origins and her associates

810300c Johnny Sharp & Patrick Clewitt [Clewett] had reportedly been selling "Black Beauties" around the High School a few weeks before 187. <Patrick Clewitt/ Bradley>
This is from the timeline. Patrick told this to Bradley. It sounds to me like "someone" lied on Johnny and Patrick regarding the selling of the black beauties. Why would Patrick tell on himself?

I would like to believe that he was the one person on this PON list that actually told the truth no matter how bad it was because he thought that maybe it would help the case.
Let me dream please 😂

Interesting! Today I learned that the NATIONS #1 LSD producer (in the day) called Mountain View base camp. Although this person was there in 1988, I wonder if the lab was there prior. 7 years is a looong time to be able to keep a lab in one place but there certainly seemed to be more "acid parties" per capita, in the area then what I'd expect.

810411c Robert Matthews, Dana's Big Brother, leaves to visit mother L.A. (connection with DEA card?) <Robert Matthews / Bradley> So the DEA card was with John's school papers, what could this notation mean? Who is Robert Matthews and how did he end up as Dana's mentor? Imma put on my tinfoil hat and ask, was this guy placed as Dana's big brother for a specific reason?
