Been going over Marilyn's old posts. It really is to bad she got chased away, she really came across as very open, if sometimes admittedly confused. She even helped and corrected dmac on things. Anyway, she talks about the incident with the BB gun at the meeks place. I certainly got the impression the bb gun belonged one of the meeks boys. I'm assuming there was a police report involved. I wonder if the police asked about a scope after the murders. I, my siblings, neighbor kids all had bb guns back in the day, and I don't remember ever seeing one with a scope. I know I would have been pretty impressed if anyone had.

I had the same impression as you did of Marilyn. And mama meeks certainly did not help with that confusion, causing Marilyn to second guess herself and her memories.
Excellent point on the BB gun!!! You're right it is more likely that it belonged to one of the Meeks boys since that event took place at their house. It would be nice to see the police report of the incident, and if the Meeks were ever questioned if they owned a bb gun after the murders.
