I was a Keddie28 member & I even came here a couple times to stick up for Dmac. So I am here with my tail between my legs....😔 I was wrong and I was sticking up for someone who did not deserve My loyalty. I am done on the Keddie28 site, and will not allow myself to be verbally abused for the sake of membership to his site.
At the time you said I was still welcome here (and even Dmac was welcome😏) I hope the offer still stands, as I’ve just registered here. And I also posted on 28 (until he deletes it) a link to this site as an option for other members to get off of 28 for good.
Justice most of us have been there and done that so we fully understand. I once said leaving 28 was like leaving an abusive relationship - once you look back you wonder why you stayed so long.
It’s Like finally leaving an abusive relationship...wow! so,so true. Walking on eggshells and careful with every word you say.
So, Thank you Kmik. I’m happy to be gone from 28 and having another place to go. This case has been in my head for a long time now, and I am not going to forget it or the victims any time soon...Not until there is closure and punishment for the perpetrators.
I hope you and your sister are doing well. It’s good to see you are a Moderator over here.
Disclaimer: I am absolutely not starting a discussion about another case here. But...After waiting for and being sorely disappointed with the People documentary I was hesitant to bother with a different documentary about a case I've long been interested in. Watched "Cold Valley" (ID) and was amazed at the difference in reporting and investigating. Wishing Plumas had an officer Nichols.....
Thanks Prof Horan! I won't muddy the waters here, but check out the Lewiston Civic Theatre 3. Cold Valley was pretty spot on (imo). And it is crazy. Suspects name is known, they do bleep it in the documentary, but I don't give a crap. His name is Jeffrey Lance Voss.
Hi! I'm new to the Keddie murder case, but not to true crime. I've been researching and writing about cold cases of California for about 12 years. I've had a few articles published. I'm currently following the Golden State Killer case - aren't we all? I first read about the Keddie case on Websleuths a few years ago. When the People Magazine Investigates aired, I tried to register on the Keddie28 forum but I guess DMac didn't like my answers to his registration form because he told me to "piss up a rope". Talk about shock! After listening to Tom Horan's The Stones Unturned Podcast, I dove into compiling the original newspaper articles and piecing together what law enforcement told the press. I'm looking forward to reading up on the case here and learning more about the suspects.
Welcome, camfaults! The tragedy of McNarie is, there were people (long before I came along) who had material of real value, and he chased them away, and who knows if they'll ever make it over here. Some have already, but there are some we'll probably never see again.
