Disappointing how little is known about Angus Lynch. Other than he is AKA by false first names AND last names. It's recorded that Angus Lynch's real name was Dave Figueiro but I've found stuff under other names for him, too. Including Figueiro Davis. Go figure! Now, granted, I have a friend we call "Pudge", and even one that we call "Soup" but, they certainly go by their last names so I'm not sure what that's all about. haha Angus Lynch was "always hanging around with Steve Durham/Stewart/Smith and Richard Meeks". They said they left the arcade at 2 am but yet Richard reported a guy named "Steve" (who I think may have been Steve McKim) high on acid wandering the roads so, Richard must've been in and out of the arcade? Another guy, Mike Hamilton was there, too, and Jose (Joey) Carvalho came forward with "Mike and Richard said Marty did it" when he was interviewed. So many rumors! Steve, Richard, and Mike (all attending QHS) were interviewed about Angus...yet, I don't remember reading an interview from Angus? K or K do you know? Angus was said to hide from police and LE asked Tulare County about him so he must have had ties to that area. That's quite a ways away -- 6 1/2 hours -- so what was he doing in Quincy/Keddie? I wish I had that answer. He's listed under Dan Farris' name who was a counselor at Quincy High School. (Farris and Swenson) said they thought he was involved. Oh my! I sure would like to see his school records from Twain Harte Elementary and Summerville Union High School! I found a record of him being born 18 Dec 1961 so he would have been about 20 (if this is the right fellow) and more likely to be of college age. You know, more around McKim's age. FRC age. Why would he be hanging with a councelor? Who knows. Maybe he rented a room. Kathy Figueiro Bonham had a janitorial service in Galt so maybe she got him a job. idk Places associated with this guy: Reno, NV, Galt, Elk Grove, Tracy, Manteca, Sacramento, all in California. People associated with this guy: Kathy Bonham (AKA Kathy Figueiro), Jean, Allen, Imo Figueiro, and Elizabeth Steinbrueck. I think Allen was his dad and he had a sister Betsy. It says David lived in Galt in 2011. (Galt is by Sacramento). That dang Richard. Everybody's frenemy. You know those guys that think they're friends with everybody, yet nobody really likes? I'd like to put a face to the names Figueiro and McKim if anyone can help me out there. They sure seem like some troubled young men. 3 am: Thomas C. 2 WMA. Driving older white Ford sedan. County Annex Road next to Gary's Flower Garden. (**I think this is a typo. I think it is Gray's Flower Garden. Four miles south of Keddie on Hwy 70. Inbetween Keddie and Quincy.) Acting intoxicated or high. He'd seen them at FRC softball field asking for some "blow". Driving white older Ford sedan. Man # 1: Thomas C. says: Mexican. 5'11". Wore glasses. Slender. Short sideburns. Thick, wide, dark mustache. Black greased back hair. Combed straight back. Ears showing. Blue jean jacket. Blue jean bell pants. Thick black belt with silver buckle. 2 rings. Thick soled, logging type boots. Man # 2 Thomas C. says: Blonde, greasy shoulder length hair. Combed behind his ears. Silver earing left ear. Reflective glasses. Green army jacket. White tank top. Baggy blue jeans. No belt. He smoked. Would it be a stretch to think he may have been talking about Angus and McKim? McKim didn't drive but Angus did... The moral of this story may just be that you know as much or more about him than I do. Sorry. Not much help! But, looking at the bright side DMike already has this solved! LOL!

I don't get into psychic babble but if she truly knew nothing about the case, it's certainly interesting!! (Angus is not a common name - but I just reread and it was Agnus). Thanks for all the info and I'd like to add a bit more.
GREEN, DOT Info - Figueiro (AKA - Angus Lynch) <SHANKS>
GREEN, FRANK Same as above <SHANKS>
(the Greens owned the Ranchito Motel)
LAPLANDER, CLIFFORD Didn't see John & Dana 4/11/81, info on Figueiro (Angus Lynch) <STOY>
MEEKS, CHARLES Info Figueiro (Angus Lynch) <STOY>
MICKLEY, DAVID Treated PDH [Plumas District Hosp] for cut hand 4/12/81 due to fight with friend - Lynch <SHANKS>/<STOY> (it just says Lynch - so was this Angus Lynch)
We have also looked at the same David and (if it's the same one) he did live a long way from Quincy. So if this is him why was he in Quincy and why did the teachers, several kids, and motel owners know him? We found no David Figueiro or Angus Lynch in the FRB. From memory I don't think his name, David or Angus, was in the 1980 yearbook that was on 28. Good thought on him possibly being friends with McKim.

I know what you mean about psychic babble. I went with some friends to a Sylvia Browne thingy years ago and spent a good deal of time squinting one eye and tilting my head to the left. On the way home I said that I could do what she does. So in response to whatever my friend said I replied, "It's your sodium intake." "No seriously. It's the answer to all of your aches and pains." "Seriously though, you need to watch your sodium. It's way too high." Hey! I thought I did well for it being my first time. haha!
Good grief! Cut on hand 4/12/81? I haven't heard of any other Lynch. Sounds like a great "friend"!
March 10, 1982 David .K- Mickley, 28, of, Quincy was arrested in Quincy on February 28 on Plumas Justice Court warrants for alleged charges of inadequate muffler, nor having his license in his possession and failing to appear in court. His bail was set at $93.
Aug 24 1983: David K. Mickley, 30, of Quincy, was arrested August 19 in Quincy on a Plumas Justice Court warrant for failure to appear and on a Sierra County Justice Court warrant for failure to appear and being an unlicensed driver. Total bail was $310.
Oct 19 1983: David K. Mickley, 30, of Quincy, was arrested October 17 in Quincy for public intoxication.
I love that FRB. It makes me laugh. "Becky had a birthday party and a good time was had by all!" Good to know. Good to know. lol

Here's the thing about psychics--they are, basically, human dogs. That is, they sometimes DO pick up on some kind of whatever. How can you tell when they're "right?" (and sometimes, they HAVE been right.) You can't. But sometimes, they are. I never depend on anything a psychic turns up, but I've learned never to just ignore them, either. I treat them like dogs. Dogs can "tell" you a lot, and so can psychics. Sometimes. ' Okay, so a lot of what this "psychic" says is way off, maybe. "Robert or Bob." Strike one? "Pete." Strike two? "Teacher." Hmmmmmmmmm....A lot more seems like pretty obvious guesses. And let's assume that, between her brother in law and the papers, she actually knew all the basic facts. What else?
1. "Father at a distance [true, of course] but knows people involved." Not a bad guess. Jim Sharp repeatedly kicked out Sue and the kids. She finally files for divorce. Happy ending for Jim, right? So, why conspire to bump her off? AFTER the divorce? Well, again, Sheila's baby...And we know at least one other person in Keddie that Jim knew--Don Davis. Another funny thing--Jim himself. Another funny thing--when the Sharps all lived together in Florida, Bo was apparently in the same town. At the VA hospital. There's no way this "psychic" could have known that in November 1981. But the funny thing is, although I, personally, don't see a whole lot pointing at Bo in this case, that sure would be one hell of a coincidence. Wouldn't it be funny if ONE crew killed Sue, and a completely DIFFERENT crew killed the boys? For different reasons? They just all picked the same day? Like that scene in Life of Brian where two different terrorist groups break in and try to kidnap Pilate's wife on the same night? Anyway, this psychic hits on that impression twice. Connected to a "doctor or lawyer" or some other professional man. Let's see...there's Judge McKnight, but there's also Gary Mollath's uncle in Reno. Both with mob connections. Quite a few drug dealers (Marty, for one) living in Keddie. Gary Mollath knew NOTHING about that? And the psychic hit on this "distant man" thing twice.
2. "Check wood pile." That's funny. Marty DID check for his hatchet, right? "Check" for WHAT, I wonder. One of Johnny's fatal wounds was a blow to the skull with an object approximately like a baseball bat. Or a piece of firewood? The Sharp cabin no longer had a wood burning stove. The Smartt cabin had one. Police checked that wood pile. Did anyone ever check the Seabolt wood pile?
3. "Heavyset woman. Sloppy." If that's not Glenna Meeks, I'll eat my hat.
4. "Alice." Check. "Margaret." Check. "Kathy." Check. "ChrisTINA."Check. "Angus." Well, here we are on this thread. "Maude?" Is she married to Bob/Pete? "Teacher." Hmmmmmmmmmm.....
5. "Blue vehicle. Green vehicle. Red vehicle for getaway...drove north through Chico..." I swear, I did not publish this message board until 2017.
6. "Necks wounded?" Sue (like Johnny) had been stabbed in the voicebox. That was not printed in the papers, nor would this deputy have been likely to know that. And Dana had been strangled. I know some of the papers (not to mention the FBI) got that wrong.
7. "In restaurant until they thought family asleep" That's funny. No one, including me, has thought of that possibility. I don't mean the restaurant. I mean, the "waiting until they thought family asleep." What, exactly, WERE Johnny and Dana waiting for? They did not arrive until AT LEAST after 10:00 and probably a lot later. Justin, at one point, said they got home about 12:00. If so, what WERE they waiting for aaaaalllllll that time? A ride? Hmmmmmmmmm..... "Mom puts the kids to bed at 10:00 sharp. She falls asleep about..." Interesting? No?
8. "Three killed." By November, pretty much everyone, even the newspapers, assumed Tina was killed, and on the same night, in Cabin 28.
9. "Revenge on mother." She hits on that twice. I hit on it every other day. Maybe I'M psychic. FWIW.
10. "[Only] One throat cut." Bingo. But the FBI didn't know that. I know the early newspaper reports got that wrong. I wonder, in November 1981, if her brother in law could have known that only Johnny actually had his throat cut/stabbed.
11. "Hear shot--shooting sometime before maybe--may be related but different time--from woods--maybe little girl" The funny thing is, McNarie is the one who pointed out that apparently, Sue was shot with the pellet gun before she was beaten with it.
12. "Was little girl at home?" Damned good question. Damned good.
13. "...long thin blade" Bingo. Big bingo. According to the autopsy, that is. NOT according to the newspapers, or even officers at the scene. They only found the butcher knife. I don't know if this deputy would have heard any different.
14. "Baby--someone connected has info." Another bingo. Sure as shootin'. But, there's no way to know if the psychic had some normal way of knowing this. Some of what she "sees" she's definitely gotten from ordinary sources. Including some wrong information ("blood everywhere" was an inaccurate exaggeration widely publicized a the time.)
15. "Boys under 27--young--killers" Marty and Bo, that AIN'T.
16. "Older man--professional--over boys" Marty, that ain't. Gamberg? Who else?
17. "Watch restaurant closely" Not a bad idea. PCSO didn't think of that. Who do WE know who maybe kept on keeping on at the luxurious Keddie Resort Restaurant and Bar? Not Marty. Not Bo. Who?
18. "Little girl ... Blow on back of the head. Unconscious, not dead--by gray rocks in woods--walking and hit in head--yelling knocked out." Funny. NO ONE else (except, of course, us geniuses here) ever thought of that. That's twice she hits on this idea that Tina was not home, and certainly not killed at home. Is this psychic still around? Would she join this board, I wonder?
Okay, psychics are bull-oney. But the funny thing is, she practically read this discussion board 36 years before I started it. That's interesting.
Maude? Is there a Maude? A regular at the Keddie restaurant? With a fishy looking woodpile? Has the killer been standing there all this time, looking right at us? Maude.
Any Maudes connected to Joel Lipsey? Any teachers at the High School involved in dope?

I love a good psychic. Maybe if Sylvia would have told ME to watch MY sodium, I would be eating a lot healthier today. But, alas, here I am, salting my food before I even taste it. lol Haven't we all had some psychic moments? I know I sure have.
Well....here's the thing....there was a Maud McKim. And, a Peter McKim. Both were related to Cindy McKim that lived in Quincy. She moved from Upland to Quncy and then to Ontario and Sun city, down by LA. Not sure how Steve McKim fits in with them, but hey -- Quincy? And, he was kicked around as "suspect #3" way back at the beginning. Everyone was being asked about this nutjob but there are no papers on him? Because he was sent to a psych ward. I find THAT extreeeemely interesting.
This restaurant...what restaurant?--or, could that be the arcade? Those boys left around 2...
I think it's totally possible that Tina ran and was not killed in the cabin. Someone reported "a bad smell" down by the river. Letsjustsay: Tina was (idk) hit by a rock or (idk) shot with a missing gun and hidden there for a while and THEN moved to Camp 18. I don't know how long a "body smell" would stay in the area but, I'm guessing a while? Sorry. Horrible to think about. Yeeesh

Weeeellllllll, let's pretend for a minute that there is no such thing as ESP. Let's pretend that, IF Sylvia "guessed" anything right about this case, it wasn't magic. Rumors, whispers, previous experience. Inside information. Gossip. The wires hum in a little town. I mean, she's not exactly out in outer outer space on a lot of this. If ain't Voodoo, then maybe it's something a little better than Voodoo.
So....what, then? So, there IS a Maud. And not just any Maud. So, what?
...Good question...
Let's say, maybe, TWO people in Plumas County thought of Steve McKim. Maybe three. Even over in another county, somebody's thinking, "That sounds like the kind of shit the McKims might be mixed up in. Steve and Maud and them..."
Maybe nothing. Maybe something. Sometimes--not always, but sometimes--these psychics...

Ooops gotta clear something up just in case there's some confusion. I don't know the psychic's name. Only that she is Deputy Christensen's sister-in-law. Got a little off track with Sylvia Browne. Sorry!
I think Maud died years ago and I'm not sure who Peter is. I'd like to know when Steven got sent to the Reno Hospital and who sent him. Did he lawyer up? Alice Maude King has been a lawyer in Quincy for years. Wouldn't that be something. haha

Even better. Even better.
And that brings up the jealous WIFE angle. Who in Plumas County had a husband ensnared in Sue's web, one wonders? Again, she was an officer's wife. She didn't chase after ANY lawyers or doctors or sheriffs in Plumas County? None called on her? She hired a lawyer to handle her divorce. How'd she pay for that? Oooorrrr, how much did she owe?
She got NO support from Jim. He must have had some proof of infidelity.

Kinda makes sense..older man (smarter too) coaching 2 boys who have no control into killing these people, after all I don’t think they stepped in the blood and left a footprint. It’s also quite a believable theory albeit a very disturbing one. I think young Tina must have walked in on it,maybe made a run for it and they grabbed her...seeing the clothes line out back ducks his head down but doesn’t see the other clothes line and catches his head or neck on it.plus the clothes that man found 3 years later had a ripped back pocket (used as a carrying handle by one of the killers). I never really bought into the Marty bo thing (too ranged out for me). And it looks as if mcnarie is after glory, but not necessarily the truth.
