"...I am not Convinced that Sues visit with Glenna Meeks the day before her murder was at all friendly..." That's a good point. And if Sue's relationship with Glenna Meeks at that time was all that friendly, why not let them help take care of Sheila and her baby? And, wasn't Richard charged with statutory rape? Since 13 was under the age of consent? Isn't that on his record now? That can't be a friendly situation. "Either Sheila gives birth out of state and gives the baby up for adoption, ooooorrrrrr, we press charges." Could Sue Sharp have sent pregnant Sheila to live with relatives so she could use their insurance for her health care? Do we know what medical care Sue and her children had? Were they all still covered by their father's health insurance? I have a hard time believing Sue Sharp and Glenna Meeks were best friends as Meeks said in the cemetery scenes of Josh's doc. If everyone knew that Sheila was pregnant, then why send her away? Do we know exactly when the Meeks family were told about the pregnancy? Was Sheila honest with her mother that Richard Meeks was the father, or did Sue fear it was someone else?

The name was posted on YouTube, but hopefully the woman is resting peacefully. Has anyone ever thought of starting a thread of each victim to discuss their lives and what was going on (to an extent, obviously, since most of them were minors) and what was going on with everyone leading up to the murders? This whole case is so interesting to me because it seems like majority of the people involved have not stuck to any of their stories which makes this case harder to solve. Good idea! The legendary Paul Holes say victimology is the first thing - know your victims. This might also help sort out the familial bonds between many of these people.

As far as we know Richard was the father of Sheila's baby and they all knew it and in an outtake for the documentary Glenna said she was upset about Sue for giving the baby up (maybe it was just for show since she had just been reunited with this child maybe she hoped by sayin that the child would have no hard feeling against the Meeks family). Sue Sharp had her hands full so I can't see why she would have ever considered keeping a baby with 5 kids already to care for and no husband to help. Glenna Meeks had 5 still at home with no husband to help so thank God Sue had enough sense to put the baby up for adoption. Sheila went to Oregon to stay with her Aunt (Sue's sister) while she had the baby. Also I think it's worth noting that Sue did move from Quincy after finding out Sheila was pregnant but Tina had also allegedly been molested about 3 months earlier by Daniel French.
Mike Gamberg said Dana was at his house the Friday night before the murders and no explanation as to why. Maybe it was for judo lessons but he doesn't mention Johnny (who was supposedly taking lessons) being there. I could definitely see Johnny or Dana being an informant (Joey Carhalho was a few years later) but I don't think Gamberg was big pals with them or Sue.
Glen Bodenham's house was directly across the road from the Sharps and can be faintly seen in a photo taken from the front door of 28. If you were standing in the front door of 28 looking directly across the road you would be looking at the side of the Bodenham house. I'll try to post a picture of it.
FBI report on the victims backgrounds and posted by Josh Hancock on January 9, 2011:
The document is dated May 13, 1981.
To: Director, FBI From: Sac, Sacramento Subject: unsub; Tina Sharo - victim; possible kidnapping
Enclosed for the BSU at Quantico is a complete set of black and white photographs depicting the crime scene where the triple murder in this case took place, which photographs were taken by the PCSO, Quincy, CA. Enclosed for the BSU at Quantico are copies of three pathology reports regarding homicide victims Glenna Susan Sharp, John Sharp, and Dana Wingate. Aerial photographs of the crime scene and a photo of Tina Sharp are also enclosed.
The following information is provided in an effort to provide a basis for a psychological profile on the person or persons possibly responsible for the murders and the disappearance of Tina Sharp.
Glenna Susan Sharp, possibly maiden name Davis, a WFA, age 36, was in the process of obtaining a divorce from her husband who is in the US Navy, currently assigned to Sea Bees at Groton, Connecticut. Sharp lived with her husband for several years as a military wife and it is believed that all children who were residing with her at Keddie, CA, at the time of her death were a product of their marriage. Sharp came to Quincy, CA, in the spring of 1980 and initially lived in a very small travel trailer in a trailer park in Quincy. In approximately November, 1980, she moved to the small rental house in Keddie, CA, approximately ten miles from Quincy, where she lived at the time of her death. She has a brother living in the Quincy area who was probably the inducement for the move to the area. Sharp was described as being approximately 5'2" tall, and weighing 100 pounds. Her husband was also of small physical stature. She was described as a woman who wore glasses and had short hair. She was not a fancy dresser and was best described by casual associates and neighbors as a loner. She was known to have dated at least two men in the last year, both of whom were employed. Neither of these individuals was known to be very successful in their livelihoods. One of these men who she dated was known to be approximately ten years older than her, the other approximately the same age. Sharp had one close girlfriend, a neighbor woman with the last name of Meeks. Sharp's only known source of income came from her position as a CETA worker, wherein she was paid to attend school, the Feather River Community College, where she was to learn a business trade. She was described as being a good student who studied hard and obtained good grades but who was also a loner and who did not participate in social gatherings such as coffee breaks. She had no other known source of income other than a $250 a month allotment check from the US Navy via her husband. Prior to her death, Sharp had no local criminal record nor was she known to local authorities.
Sharp was not a known drug user nor was she known to drink alcohol to a great extent. No drugs nor alcohol were found in the house at the time of her death. She was not known to frequent bars in the area. It was noted that her house was very sparsely furnished and what furnishings were present were of little or no value. Assistant Sheriff Ken Shanks, PCSO, noted that the Sharp's brother who made the identification of the bodies at the murder scene almost came to tears at the time, but was able to restrain himself. The sister-in-law maintained composure throughout the episode. The possibility exists, however, that greater emotional outbursts occurred at other times when outsiders were not present.
The second homicide victim, John Sharp, son of victim Glenna Susan Sharp, described as white male, age 15 years, weight 105 pounds, height 5'2 1/2 ", also died of multiple stab wounds and a severe beating of the head. John was a student at Quincy High School with no prior arrest record in Plumas County. He was described as having few close friends with Dana Wingate, the third victim in this homicide, as his closest friend. He also associated with the Meeks children, a neighbor family. Richard Meeks was his primary associate in this family. It is noted that Richard Meeks, age 15, is also the father of baby which John's sister, Sheila Sharp, has approximately one year ago. The baby was put up for adoption after Sheila delivered and is currently in the state of Oregon. John is known to have smoked marijuana in the past, although the exact frequency is unclear. There is a possibility that John was involved in selling marijuana as well, although this is unsubstantiated. He was never picked up by authorities for this. John is known to have stolen marijuana from the residence of an older associate in Quincy on two occasions. He was caught for this by the older associate, approximate age 30, but was not charged with the crime. An informal agreement was worked out between Sharp and the victim whereby Sharp cut firewood for the man to pay off his debt. Another juvenile was involved with Sharp in this activity. Sharp is not known to have been involved with hard drugs in the past. He is a suspected beer drinker, the suspicion stemming from his associates in the Quincy area and his general reputation in school. Sharp did not own a car nor is he known to drive a motor vehicle. He did not have a job and has no known source of income. His primary source of transportation is hitchhiking around the Quincy/Keddie area. Sharp had no known enemies at the time of his death.
Associates describe Sharp as an aggressive individual who was prone to fighting. It was pointed out that he had a black eye from fighting approximately one week before he was killed. Sharp was known to spend weekends away from his residence, supposedly staying at the homes of friends in the Quincy area. Sharp was last seen hitchhiking from Quincy, CA, to Keddie at approximately 10:06 pm the night before his body was discovered.
The third homicide victim, Dana Wingate, is described as a white male, age 17, height 5'10", weight 140 pounds. Wingate died of multiple skull wounds, primarily stemming from a severe beating with a blunt instrument. Wingate is not known to have been stabbed as were the other victims in this matter. Wingate was the friend of victim John Sharp. He lived in a foster home in the Quincy area, having been placed there by the Plumas County Probation Department on October 11th, 1979. Prior to that he lived with his father who still resides in the Quincy area. His mother is a drug user residing in the South Lake Tahoe, CA, area, approximately one hundred miles from Quincy. His father is described by authorities as being the "town drunk" who supports himself doing odd jobs in the Quincy area. Wingate is suspected of being a marijuana user although this is not verified. He is a known diabetic who requires regular insulin shots. He received his last injection between 6:30 and 7:30 pm the evening he was murdered. Wingate is suspected of not being a heavy drinker or user of drugs in view of his reliance on insulin. Both reportedly react adversely with insulin. Wingate attended high school with John Sharp. Wingate had three sisters, ages 11, 14, and 16, with lived with their mother until her arrest several months ago. At that time they came to Quincy to live with their father. Wingate's closest known friends were John Sharp and another resident of the foster home. Wingate was placed on probation following his being charged with the torture of a cat in the Quincy area. He and another friend injected the cat with a quantity of insulin and the friend then burned the cat alive. Wingate was described by his foster mother as an individual who was afraid to accept responsibility for himself. Wingate would probably not defend himself is provoked, although he had no known enemies.
Wingate was recently becoming a "ladies man" with the girls at school. He was also rumored to be having sexual intercourse with a 27 year old unmarried woman in the Quincy area. He was known to have a more adult sense of humor than most friends his age.
Possible kidnapping victim in this matter, Tina Sharp, is physically described as follows:
Race: White Sex: Female Date of birth: July 22, 1968 Height: 4'10" - 4'11" Weight: Approximately 90 pounds Hair: dark blonde Eyes: blue Build: slight
Tina looked physically younger than her actual age. She was described by neighbors as being a sweet, innocent 12 year old girl, though she was known to be jealous of her older sister Sheila's physical appearance. Tina was previously known to the Plumas County Sheriff's Office, having been listed as the possible victim of sexual abuse in an incident involving another 12 year old girl and a 50 year old man from another area of California. The man was initially arrested and charged with sexual abuse but the charges were later dropped for lack of a credible witness. Subsequent investigation by authorities determined that Tina and the other 12 year old girl may have had previous sexual contact with this man, possibly on a voluntary basis. The exact details of the alleged previous incident are unclear based on available records. Tina is known to have "forts" and hide-outs in the hills near her home where she often went to play alone, sometimes taking friends with her. These forts appear to be nothing more than normal play areas for children her age and have been investigated by local authorities with nothing unusual located. Tina had several friends, the closest being Paula Seabolt and other Seabolt family children. The Seabolts are a neighbor family living in the Keddie area. It is noted that Mrs. Seabolt would allow her children to pay with Tina at the Seabolt residence but would not allow her children to go to the Sharp residence.
Additionally, the following general information is provided in response to questions set forth in re Bureau airtel. The electrical cord used to tie up the victims was cut from appliances in the Sharp's residence where they were murdered. The electrical tape used on the victims is not known by surviving children to have been in the house prior to the murders and may have been brought by the murderers but this is unsubstantiated. The knot used to tie the gag on Glenna Sue Sharp was tied in a "granny" knot. All other knots used to bind the victim were double half hitches with the second loop tied backward. The surviving Sharp children stated that they never threw knives at the wall of the residence, nor did deceased members of the Sharp family. Sheila Sharp, age 14, said the marks on the wall were not there before the murders. There were no signs of forced entry at the crime scene although the Sharp house was usually left unlocked whether family members were home or not.
Regarding Tina ever acting in an aggressive manner, there are rumors to that effect from neighbors and associates in the Keddie/Quincy area, although none of the rumors have checked out to be true by local authorities. At this point all rumors regarding her aggressiveness bear out to be false. Similarly, there is no information to indicate that Tina ever discussed the Carol Ann Fugate-Charles Starkweather murders with any of her friends or associates. Regarding the .22 caliber pellet found at the crime scene, this was determined to be a true pellet fired from a pellet gun. The pellet is round in shape and does not appear to be obviously misshapened from striking an object, although the possibility exists that it may be slightly out of round indicating it may have struck a soft object which did not leave a hard impression on the pellet. The pellet has actually been determined to be a .177 caliber pellet. The three juveniles previously mentioned in Sacramento's airtel to the Bureau as being present in another room in the house at the time of the murders are actually the same as the three minor children previously referred to. These are the only other individuals present at the time of the murders. The three juveniles, ages 5, 9, and 10, were unharmed. Two of the were children of Mrs. Sharp, the third being a neighbor child. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** We can create a new report but this report was made soon after the murders with information told by people who were familiar with them.

Wait so Dana was placed on probation for torturing a cat, not the damage he did to the airport? Or the car tire place? (Can’t recall which one it was).
So he had TWO offenses and then was stealing money from his job?
