We copied this from the cassette tape recording of Sheila talking to Crim and Bradley. It was a deleted scene from Josh's documentary. It's two clips of her discussing what she saw and heard about the case from others and her thoughts.
[What was the question, one wonders? What is it she claims she can't remember?] Sheila: I was scared and in shock and everything.
LE: Um. How would she [Tina] have gotten out of there?
Sheila: I don't know. Well what we had, I don't think it's true, what my uncle had thought that, maybe she had seen Dana kill my mom and Johnny and she probably picked up the hammer and got Dana and then ran. [This clearly suggests that Don Davis certainly tried--for whatever reason--to put thoughts in Sheila's mind and memory] But all, Da, all 3 of their hands were tied or taped together [How does she know? UNLESS Stoy, Klement, Shanks, Thomas, or even less likely, Crim/Bradley, TOLD her, how would she know?] so I don't think that would ? happened.
LE: But there wasn't any windows open on that side of the house was there? the bedroom?
Sheila: uhm. There was blood on the back door and the front door [How does she know?]. I think where somebody tried to get out the front door but didn't make it and must have went out the front-back door. [Wait--someone tried to go out the front door and "didn't make it?" And so they turned around and went all the way through the house and went out the back instead? WHY would someone be unable to make it out the front door, if they made it TO the front door? If they were stopped from behind--from inside the house--then could they turn around and get past those people and go out the back instead? The only way this could make sense is if they were stopped by someone OUTSIDE the front door. Who? SHEILA? Did she leave something out of her story? Did Sheila SEE SOMEONE RUN OUT OF THE LIVING ROOM when she came in the front door?
LE: Do you know any places she would go and hide?
Sheila: Richard went and checked in the , up in the train and he said he didn't see anything. He didn't look see anything -- they seen cloth. [They?? In any case, Crim and Bradley would have asked Richard Meeks about this.]
LE: huh?
Sheila: They [They?] seen some clothes, but they were too big to be Tina's. They looked like they were put there just recently.
LE: She, you kids didn't have any hide away places down along the creek? Or anything like that. Where
Sheila: I don't know about her.
LE: Who, uh Richard, which one is this now?
Sheila: Meeks
LE: The one that went up there and saw the clothes?
Sheila: Yea
LE: Where did he see those at?
Sheila: I think by the, he said by the train.
(LE: got to go back and talk to him some more?)
Sheila: What i think is they probably took Tina instead of killing her so she wouldn't say anything. [Well, if rhey killed her, like they did /sue, she certainly wouldn't have said anything.]
LE: Could be alot of things. uh.
Sheila: I thought that if she ever ran off she would be back by now.
LE: you have no idea where she would be hiding? Is there any vacant building down in there she might be hiding in?
Sheila: Yeah, i think Yeah
LE: huh
Sheila: there's one by the pond back
LE: By the pond uh huh?
Sheila: Yeah
LE: Like when your coming in across the creek, down in that area, or is there
Sheila: Yeah
LE: I don't know where the pond is that's the reason I'm
Sheila: Yeah, well when you come in
LE: across that bridge
Sheila: There's like a small bridge that you crossed over and you go down the road a little, this dirt road behind it, and there's a clubhouse (?) down there.
LE: An old abounded house? okay. You got anything else Harry.
Harry: No I don't think so right now
I'm not sure if this interview was on the same day. This piece of interview was on Part 2. Josh said, "Sheila Sharp walked through the crime scene after the bodies were removed so that she could aid police in determining what, if anything, was missing. Afterwards she was interviewed at the Sheriff's Office by 2 agents from the CA DOJ.
LE: Your mother didn't have any known personal enemies that you know of?
Sheila: She never hurt anybody That wasn't the question.]
LE: Your brother?
Sheila: I don't know.
LE: You don't know. You don't know about Dana?
Sheila: He didn't have any men enemies, Dana could have, but I don't know about Johnny.
LE: Does Tina normally wear night clothes or does she wear regular clothes or half and half?
Sheila: Well once in a while she'll wear her clothes and sometime she'll wear night clothes.
LE: What was she wearing that night?
Sheila: Saturday?
LE: Um huh
Sheila: I can't remember
LE: You have no idea who would do it?
Sheila: This guy named James, who was working at the, he's a waitress, a waiter at the restaurant an um he seen a truck that parked down near the restaurant walk up to our house.
LE: Did he? What time was that did he say?
Sheila: He didn't say...this other girl Kathy, she got off work at 2:30. She heard some noises, some people talking up there. If Tina gets found I think it will take a while before they [they?], she can explain what had happened. [Why would Sheila think it would "take a while" BEFORE "they" could "explain" what happened?
LE: Do you have any idea where we'd go looking for her? We're trying our best, the Sheriff's trying, we don't know. Do you think she got out of there while this happened?
Sheila: I think so...if she was scared and if they didn't catch her.
LE: Yeah. Was she a light sleeper do you know? Tina?
Sheila: Yeah she's a pretty light sleeper.
