Here is a short transcript of Part 2 of Josh Hancock’s “documentary.”
Josh, who supposedly stole the whole box of original files, states that Dana “was not bound.” That’s baloney. Dana WAS bound, just like Johnny, but managed at some point to break the tape on both his wrists and ankles.
CBS Reporter: The boys were seen hitchhiking from Quincy to Keddie. When they knocked on the door of Cabin 28, they walked into “a scene that can only be described as pure hell.” The job of a reporter is NOT to do research or get the facts straight. The job of a reporter is to tell a GOOD STORY. People see “CBS News Special Report” and they think it must be the definitive version. But it’s usually the LEAST accurate version. One thing we know for sure from the physical evidence and autopsies is, SUE WAS ATTACKED LAST, not first. So, the scene the boys walked into was either an empty living room, or Sue lying on the couch watching TV. That’s it. The “pure hell” started LATER.
Then, we get DeCrona, a cop, and his 25-year-old “memories” of the crime scene. The audience assumes he knows what he’s talking about, but what he’s really doing is just talking off the top of his head. What this shows is, even COPS’ memories change over the years. They talk about the case, they dream about the case, they remember and re-remember the case. And it all gets changed. This happens to EVERYONE, and we can see that in EVERY single interview on these “documentaries.” I preach and I preach and I preach: decades old “memories” are WORTHLESS.
The mother and two teens were found bound and gagged and beaten and stabbed. Well, no, Dana and Johnny were NOT gagged. That’s not just a meaningless mistake; it’s IMPORTANT.
DeCrona again: They used like electrical cord that was at the location to bind the victims. No, white cloth tape was used to bind the wrists and ankles of all three victims. Sue’s wrists were then bound to her ankles by a short length of cord, and Dana’s ankle was bound to Johnny’s ankles by another length of cord. They used butcher knives that were from the residence…No, only ONE “butcher” knife was used. In addition, a narrow, pointed blade (apparently scissors) was actually used to stab TWO victims, not all three, in the throat. And a hammer was used. Correct. They had stabbed the walls Sort of and they had struck the victims so hard that the blades of the knives were actually bent back over themselves. Not even close. The steak knife was bent a little. ALL of the victims’ wounds were made with surprisingly little force. Even the hammer wounds were made with only a little force. It would seem that the majority of the fatal wounds were made quite reluctantly, as though murder itself had been a LAST MINUTE DECISION.
Then, a repeat of a shot of Justin from Part 1, where he says “There’s a very good chance I had witnessed something…“ Even if Justin THOUGHT he remembered something today, such memories would be WORTHLESS. Entertaining, probably, but worthless.
Then we get the “psychic.” ‘Nuff said.
Then, Sheila cries.
Then, more “psychic” stuff.
Then, Tonya Sherman, who was a teaching assistant who says that (as an underaged teen) she dated Joel Lipsey, Tina’s special ed teacher who was later convicted as a pedophile. She repeats the erroneous assumption that Sue was attacked first, and the boys “walked in on it.” Then she mentions a suspect who has been charged (everyone assumes she means Lipsey, but she may be referring to Dan French or Cary Walke.) One problem in assuming that Tina was the “intended target” is that such a predator had lots and lots and lots of opportunities to abduct Tina without having to invade her crowded home on a Saturday night.
Next, Dr Murad, who identified Tina’s remains: I remember (here we go again!) Tom Handy (Butte County SO) brought me a skull and asked for my help. He wanted me to tell him it was prehistoric. I told him it was modern and a child. I encouraged him to go back and look for more remains. She had been chewed by rodents. No evidence to suggest cause of death. His first conclusion was that the skeleton had been exposed no more than 18-24 months. He only changed his mind when he found out it was Tina. So, the FIRST conclusion, based on NOTHING but the evidence, suggested that Tina had not been killed immediately after her disappearance.
Next, the Frank Davis story about Sue having repeated arguments with the dark-haired man.
Martelle Grimm, Frank Davis’s ex-wife: My uncle the bartender left work at 2:15 and said he heard some weird sounds (but the ME put Dana’s time of death about 12:30 and the only screams were heard at 1:15am.) She then alleges that Jim Seabolt Jr should be a suspect, and that he had “ongoing relationships” with a couple of girls about Tina’s age at that time. [Note: Jim Seabolt DID have some hidden connection to the Walke brothers, but I don’t know yet exactly what.]
Then mention of the Kathy Howard murder.
Then an inaccurate summary of Justin’s two hypnosis sessions (see the thread on the actual transcripts of those sessions.)
Then a replay of the clip from Part 1 of Thomas talking about Justin’s “memories.”
Then Justin mentions Stoy debunked Justin’s second “memory.”
Then Justin “remembering” being afraid of going to his own house and going to the Seabolt cabin instead, then eventually going home to see if his mother was all right. Then he and she returned to the Seabolt cabin. (Before police arrived.)
Next, Dave Keller, who plans to publish his own book. He discusses various theories in a “vague way.” Blah, blah, blah.
Ed Cates, Justin’s ghostwriter: Justin’s grandfather lives next door, and I learned about Justin through him. “Let’s do a screenplay!” Justin poured out the story of his life and the Keddie thing. More spiritualist garbage on a tape.
Martin’s stepdaughter, Laurie Gordon: She mentions that, when she was 15, her boyfriend had just died [in a tubing accident near Burney Falls.] Then she says, after she had moved back to Oregon to be with her father, she was summoned to the office at school to call home and Marty told her Justin had witnessed the Keddie murders.
Then, a clip from Part 1, where Glenna tells the story of Marty acting weird on April 12.
Then, Dee Lake: I met Marty at FRC, etc. We became very good friends. Marty was a good salesman who did a great job collecting toys for a toy drive. After the murders, two detectives came to Indian Falls to show me (because Lake’s car was parked at the Smartt Cabin) the composites “because it looked like maybe some veterans were involved. Maybe the way they were tied.” Etc. Then he starts crying. He thinks Casey and Justin both were in Cabin 28. Marilyn asked Dee to take Marty over the Reno VA. Etc. A short time after the murders, Marty told me “they have over 30 pieces of evidence linking me to these murders. What should I do?” What evidence? Dee then advised Marty to leave town. But I don’t believe he could or would do anything like that.
Then he plays a tape of someone describing some of the crime scene pics. There will be separate thread on this. But you can see the blood on the bottoms of Sue’s feet, and where it had squished up between her toes. That proves Sue was NOT attacked first.
Then a tape of Sheila’s interview with Bradley on April 19. She tells him that she thinks Tina may have gotten out of the Cabin while it was happening.
Then excerpts from Bo’s and Martin’s interviews, but we have complete transcripts on separate threads.
Then an interview by Josh on camera with the Reno counselor. He said Martin wanted anger management help, especially with women. He is NOT referring to any notes, but “remembering” his sessions with Martin. Then he speculates on how Martin’s PTSD would be unjustified, since Martin was never in combat. Martin supposedly said he’d been given a polygraph (he WASN’T) and that Martin was friends with Sheriff Thomas (highly unlikely) and stayed at his house for a couple of weeks. Martin then suggested that some of his friends may have committed the murders. Then Martin said his wife had a friend who was an extreme bitch who was trying to break up his marriage, but Martin was too enraged to articulate further. (This is most likely Glenna Meeks, NOT Sue Sharp.) Then, the next to last conversation, Martin supposedly confesses. But in the report, this “confession” was given OVER THE PHONE from Klamath Falls. Which fits the dates we have for Martin’s whereabouts. Martin supposedly displayed “flat affect” during this “confession,” but everything we know about Martin indicates NOTHING about him being able to “dissociate” during his outbursts. Other details of this confession are flat contradicted by the physical evidence.
In the next segment, Josh discusses reports about rumors of Tina possibly being pregnant (by Deputy Ken Shanks.) This rumor supposedly originated with an employee of the Plumas County Health Department. One problem is, none of the women who reference each other in these reports worked at the health department. On the other hand, Ken Shanks did later resign over very credible allegations of having sex with an underage girl several years later. What Josh doesn’t mention is, these women were “girlfriends” of Dana’s, and it’s possible that they were only gossiping among themselves over information about Tina’s behavior that they heard from Dana.
The next segment is blah, blah, blah about the case still being open and periodically reviewed.
The next segment is a tape of Henry Thompson’s “friend” saying that Thompson claimed to have been in the Cabin the night of April 11 with a friend named “Gary” or “Jerry” and they had gone to Livermore.
Josh then claims that Chuck Walke is the friend of Henry Thompson mentioned on the tape. But that’s not true—the “friend” referred to on the tape is CARY Walke, Chuck’s brother. No one, not Josh, not dmac, none of the files, mentions CARY Walke as a suspect. Only Chuck. Cary is a convicted pedophile and has other possible connections to the disappearance of Tina. Cary matches the second composite sketch perfectly—and has blonde hair.
Then another clip of Chuck Walke being interviewed: He tells the story as though HE was the friend of Henry Thompson who went with Henry to Livermore, etc, and claims he passed a polygraph. Well, since Chuck is NOT Cary, that might explain why he was supposedly able to pass a polygraph.
Then a clip of more ridiculous hearsay from Ed Cates about Justin supposedly undergoing ANOTHER “hypnosis” session when he specifically identified Bo and Marty. 'Nuff said.
