It's hard to say he didn't have good info because we don't know what info he had. The case really hasn't evolved much past 1981 other than Tina's remains being found 3 years later. Why was she missing from 28? That's something we'll probably never know.

This offender was motivated by his commitment and love for Tina Sharp. He loves her like a father. In all probability, Tina Sharp was planning on running away with him.
I'm pretty sure he hit the nail on the head. I think the plan was to run away that night and it went terribly, terribly wrong.

"...blood splattered clothes, socks and girl's shoes were found in the living room of Cabin 28.... determined to belong to family members " that's a direct quote from Gamberg from Plumusnews article 2018. Yet, some how that evidence does not strike a cord with investigators? Did Sue go to bed that night with clothes and shoes strewn about the living room? From what we know about her, not likely. More likely that articles of clothing were being gathered when the **** hit the fan. Maybe clothing was grabbed out of someone's hand and that's when the **** hit the fan.

I totally agree raemen!

Great thoughts!! There was another poster on 28 that posted some years ago that it looked like maybe some items that were scattered around came from a gym bag. I've always wondered why nobody else has ever mentioned that. Maybe someone emptied a gym bag, that could have been on the table (where the knife and hammer were), so they could use it to put their clothes in, if in fact they were planning on running away. I'm with you, I don't think Sue would have went to bed with her house in a mess. Just look at the picture of her kitchen. It was very clean.

I too thought the clothes looked like a scattered gym bag. The clothes blocking the boys door has always bothered me also. Contrary to what some have said, I don't think they kept a messy house. The pic of the boys room seems clear of clutter, yet heres a pile of clothes in the door way? Also, someone mentioned Sue being an officers wife for some years would make this out of character/habit, I'm inclined to agree

I have a hard time putting to much weight into what Sheila says is missing. When I was robbed, it took days to notice some items gone, including my passport-pretty important, but small and overlooked by me

Maybe they specifically asked Sheila if there was anything of Tina's missing.

" It was also thought that medical tape was brought along...." * Pulmasnews, 2018* Um, seriously- I can't think of one male I know that doesn't have at least one roll of duct tape at his house, even if its dusty. Let's just grab the medical tape instead!! Does that make any sense to anyone? It does make sense that a house with 5 kids has medical tape. Unfortunately, it also makes sense that a kid would probably know exactly where the medical tape was. Again, I have to ask why these facts are not followed to their simplist conclusions by investigators?

I agree!! That's such and odd thing to "bring with them" and why would they bring their own medical tape to 28 but cut up all the Sharps electrical cords? Why not just bring some of their own? It appears everything used came from 28 except the pellet gun and we've never gotten an answer to Johnny or Justin owning/not owning one. Mike G may buy all of that but I doubt all the investigators before him did.

Statements like this make me question Mike Gamberg's familiarity with the case files:
May 4, 2018 Plumas News article:
Don Stoy report:
Dana's autopsy:
If Andy Anderson (Anderson's Mortuary) cut the cord leading from Dana to Johnny I would assume it was because he was picking up the bodies from 28. Don Davis and Dan Dorris told in the documentary and outtake that they went down to the mortuary and I don't think the police would have asked them to drive to Sacramento to do that.

This is why we need to see the REST of the files. PCSO, whether on purpose (my contention) or not, have leaked files that frame Marty, but it's crystal clear they've sat on files that tend to exonerate Marty incriminate others. It's also clear that they've "lost" a lot of them. I asked Gamberg simple questions like, "What time the medical examiner think Dana died?" and he kept saying, "Uuuuuhhhh...I don't know." He's either lying, or they've lost half the files. All Sheila has to do (as heir of the estates of the victims) is ask them for copies and then SHE can legally "reveal" them to whomever she wants. That's how we got the Madeleine McCann files, etc. The McCanns themselves authorized it. Etc. She keeps running around whining that PCSO "isn't solving" the case, but she won't do ANYTHING to help solve it. One thing people don't realize is, the "Vidocq Society" do NOT reinvestigate cold cases. But groups like Cold Case Foundation in Provo DO. For free. I do. (Not always for free, but I would do this one for free.) But Sheila will NOT help them or anyone else. PCSO could ask CC Foundation (or any number of other groups and agencies) for help, but they WON'T. And by "PCSO" I mean Hagwood and Gamberg. You remember Hagwood. The one who let Josh walk out the door with the files in the first place.
Let me give you another example: Nobody complained louder about McNarie than Gamberg. He has said for years he didn't know who "dmac" was and couldn't find him. I put a stopwatch on myself and it literally took me 17 minutes to get his home address and phone number. (He was surprised to hear from me. Snicker.) I sent that information to Gamberg and Hagwood. They did NOTHING with it. That's because they've known McNarie for years.

IMO, the evidence against Marty Smartt is andetodal at best. And even then it has to be edited to fit the narrative. There isn't one shred of direct or forensic evidence that proves or suggests that Marty Smartt was in Cabin 28 the night of the murders.

Something that's bugged me for a loonng time, Philip claims to have scratched a license # into the sharps water heater, it's not there, Q"who's Phillip?" A " the town drunk" let's check out some more tanks, like maybe one in an abandoned cabin near by.

Snoho:
As McNarie himself proved (he actually went there) Phillip could NOT have been describing Cabin 28. But Phillip described Tom Schulz's cabin (neighbor across the back yard) very well. And here's what's so funny about that--According to the autopsy reports and crime scene photos, Dana was most likely killed an hour or two BEFORE Johnny, and SOMEWHERE ELSE. Chuck and Henry admitted they were at Tom S's cabin in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Suppose Johnny and Dana DID steal some "blotter acid" from some Hells Angels and took it to Chuck and Henry at the Exxon station just before Sue picked them up and Chuck and Henry drove to Livermore and traded the acid for some coke and drove back to Quincy and picked up Johnny and Dana and Phillip at the Exxon about 9:15-9:30 and drove to Tom S's house for a "party" or whatever. Suppose Johnny or whoever suspected Dana of being a "narc" (he very likely was, as a condition of his probation, as part of Gamberg's plan to get his job back). Maybe a roll of white tape fell out of his pocket. "What, are you wearing a wire?" His pants were undone, but there had been no sexual assault. The ME even checked for tape residue, as though HE thought Dana had been wearing a wire. And THAT's where you wear one...
Maybe he was; maybe he wasn't. Maybe he was just out of control from insulin shock, or whatever. But somebody punched him in the face a couple of times before he was strangled. Johnny's hands were bruised. And police found what looked like "bloody nose" tissues in the trash can at the resort entrance--dumped there on the way IN to Keddie, or on the way OUT--In any case, "somebody" got Dana in a choke hold (Gamberg brags about teaching Johnny and Dana and other boys various martial arts skills) and wouldn't let go. Maybe that was Johnny. For whatever reason, "somebody" hit Johnny upside the head just above the left ear and fractured his skull. But it was too late--Dana was dead. Or, maybe Dana had died and nobody noticed for a while. That can happen, even if the choke hold is released--the person's arteries cramp shut and they die, anyway. So maybe Johnny got upset THEN and somebody coldcocked him with a bat.
What the hell do Chuck and Henry and Tom do NOW? They can't call an ambulance. If they dump the bodies in the woods, police will go looking for the crime scene....Why not take the boys to Cabin 28 and make it look like the whole thing happened there? It would only take a few minutes, and wouldn't necessarily make a lot of noise. But Sue wakes up and comes out to the living room and sees Dana lying face down in a puddle of Johnny's blood, so they have to do something about HER. And Tina. And they tell Tina "come with us and we won't have to kill Sue/the other boys" and they tell the boys "keep your mouths shut and Tina will be okay." And they take Tina out to the campgrounds near Camp 18 and she runs off later and dies of exposure. When they go back for her, she's gone, and they can't call the police about THAT, can they?
Cuz, not only does this hypothesis (right or wrong) explain EVERYTHING, including Phillip's story, it ALSO explains one more thing--WHERE WAS DANA'S DIABETIC KIT??? Why wasn't it found in Cabin 28? If he was killed in 28, then WHY DID THE KILLERS TAKE IT WITH THEM?
They didn't. They left it at the original crime scene.
No "premeditation." Just a "tie-up game that got out of control."

There are isolated areas in the woods where it would take a long time for people to find a body, and if they took the time to use a shovel and bury the bodies, they would never be found. That would leave them a lot of time to clean up a crime scene instead of taking the boys to cabin 28 and dealing with whoever is in the cabin, and they wouldn't know 100% sure who all was in cabin 28. Seems to me that taking them somewhere in the woods would be a lot easier than trying to stage a crime scene in an occupied cabin. Also, if we don't have all the police reports, how would we know where the insulin kit was at?
