Here's an interesting article by Edith Kermit Roosevelt from the Oct. 21 1962 New Hampshire Sunday paper. It's about the U.N. Temple of understanding and the meditation room. It was built by the same people who held "mind control" conferences at wainwright house. It was held by Roland Gammon of the world council of religions......https://archive.org/details/the-temple-of-understanding-by-edith-kermit-roosevelt-the-new-hampshire-sunday-news-october-21-1962

Anyone remember the process magazine picture with a member posing with Mary Tyler Moore? Elantric actually posted it not long ago in this thread over in the Manson section - thread "Manson Connections to Other Crimes and Criminals":
Too many threads and so much information on these boards to keep up with! HA!

Moon was also involved in the Nugan Hand bank drug trafficking and real estate business. Nugan Hand was a CIA and office of navy intelligence (Alfred Howell) business.

Thank you for posting all this! And excellent job finding the possible connection between him, the neighboring cabin and Dana. Could he have run into Johnny, Sheila or even Tina previously? Certainly possible if he was the Steve walking around Keddie that night, probably not the first time he was wondering around Keddie since the Sharps moved in.
There is so little information on him but what is out there sounds very suspicious. Was he ever even interviewed by PCOS? I know they looked into Kathy's murder for similarities, but I dont think I've heard if PCOS ever questioned him after Mrs. Alvey came forward, or hearing Richard's story. Good question regarding where they lived at the time. Also, I wonder when he left the area and moved in with Mrs. Alvey's sister? Could it have been shortly after the murders? Every time I read about him retrieving that duffle bag out of the shed I think about you mentioning Meanie said the clothing in the Sharps living room looks as if someone dumped out the items from a gym bag. It certainly looks that way. Would be nice to know if he owned those vehicles in 81. Especially with all the talk of a truck being seen in the area. Perhaps he needed a car with a trunk and that is why he wanted to borrow her vehicle? Definitely a lot of questions regarding him, his friends and poor sister.

The reason I put this under CIA trafficking is Moons good friend George Bush Sr. Became director of the CIA on January 30 1976. Just in time for the SOS murders. The Unification Church owned a whopping 98 acres where they conducted their boot camps in WestChester County. As everyone knows land isn't cheap along the Hudson River. They also owned land in Irving just south of Tarrytown. You also have the Wainwright house in Tarrytown that's important in the Westchester narrative

The Unification Church of Sun Myung Moon had one of its two headquarters in Tarrytown New York, Westchester County, they used it as a literal boot camp. Moon was close Friends with George Bush Sr., Bush Sr. Actually went on record calling Moon the messiah lol. Moon was involved in the Iran Contra business of selling drugs, laundering money, selling prostitutes, and abusing children. His activities in Westchester county were going on at the same time as the SOS cult was conducting business around the same areas.

I listened to the podcast and it is definitely worth a listen. I thought they did a great job. Paul Holes mentioned he was in contact with PCOS in 2010 while he was investigating a suspect for the GSK case. He said this suspect worked for Western Pacific Railroad as a brakeman and was in and out of Keddie all the time, he came across the keddie murders and thought they may be connected to this suspect. He did not name the suspect but I thought that was very interesting.
I felt they did a good job sticking to the facts and remaining neutral. When the rumors of Sue encouraging Marilyn to leave Marty, Bo asking Sue out and of the possible affair between Marty & Sue, he said those could all certainly be motives for murder.
They discussed the "love letter"....he said that letter has been taken out of context. That he had obtained a copy of the entire letter, not just the "4 lives" section, and it's obvious Marty is speaking about giving up his children to be with Marilyn! Finally!
Marty's confession to his therapist was also brought up. He said he would need to find out more information regarding the confession to weigh in on its legitimacy. However, what we do know Marty supposedly said lacks detail which is common in false confessions. Plus the fact he had inside knowledge since his stepson was in the house. He also did not buy Marty's explanation that Tina had to be "disposed of" because she was witness. John & Dana were also witnesses so if that was the case she would have been left with them. He feels Tina was removed for another purpose.
They also offered help to PCOS if they want it. He mentioned he has been interested in this case so hopefully PCOS will take up the offer or maybe he will look into it more himself. He feels the case could be solved and having more information from the crime scene, such as whose DNA was on the carpet underneath the cushion Dana was on, would help reconstruct the order of events.

Gamberg's report said Steve owned a 1955 pickup and a motorcycle but not sure if he owned either in 1981. My question would be where did Mrs. Alvey live at the time of the murders when Steve came to her house - and if he owned a vehicle where was it and why did he need to borrow hers? If he didn't own a vehicle how did he get to her house that morning?

Anyone remember the process magazine picture with a member posing with Mary Tyler Moore? I read where she was asked about the photo taken with them and she claimed she didn't know who they were and they just stopped her on the street and asked for a picture. Actually she gave an introduction to the book published by the best friends animal society lol. i.ebayimg.com/images/g/hTUAAOSw1tha-NNb/s-l300.jpg

In the Marty theory all I see is a lot of speculation and rumors started by the very people who had real motive to kill the Sharps. There are plenty of people trying to connect Marty and very few actually looking beyond - so once again I'd like to look beyond at Steve.
In the early '80's Jackie Alvey told a reserve officer that she'd like to speak to Mike Gamberg about the Keddie Murders. She didn't trust anyone at the PCSO (except Mike, I guess) and with good reason because Steve was friends with her son Danny and the Alvey boys were trouble. I also think her husband had some welfare fraud problems in the early 70's. Mike talks to her and she tells him the story of Steve coming to her house around 1:00am - 2:00am on the morning of the murders begging to use her car or stay at her house. She refused him because his appearance and unusual behavior scared her. She said he had shoulder length hair and wore wire rimmed glasses. He told her he needed to get out of town or spend the night and he wanted to see her son Danny who she said was not at home. She also said that Steve ran around with another guy (Monty Porter) who was supposedly acquainted with Dana.
Fast forward years later to 1989 she again reported to Mike that while Steve was staying with her (Mrs. Alvey) sister an airing of America's most wanted: the Keddie murders came on tv and Steve got nervous and left and she watched him retrieve a duffle bag from her shed.
Here's what bothers me with Steve. There is suspicion that swirls around him in the death of his sister Kathy in 1973, and he (and Monty Porter) refused to take a polygraph in her case. Now here he is going to Mrs. Alveys acting crazy in the early morning hours of the murders needing to get out of town (which leaves me to question where he had been living since he needed to get out of town) then Tina's body is found within 5 miles or less as the crow flies (around 14 driving) from where his sister Kathy was found. Then there's the "Steve" supposedly walking by the Sharp's high on acid but Chuck and Richard Meeks claim not to know Steve Howard yet it's mentioned that Steve was Margret Krois boyfriend but Chuck said no he (chuck) was her boyfriend. Plus there's the 1989 story of him abruptly leaving Mrs. Alvey's sister's house after the Keddie episode is shown on tv.
It's obvious that Mrs. Alveys family and her sister's family knew Steve real well it's just such a shame she waited years to tell this. I'm gonna try to dig up the original story because I believe in it she said Steve was familiar with the victims and Porter was familiar with Dana and/or his family. I also think it was discussed on Meanies forum that Steve supposedly hung out a lot at one of the cabins beside the Sharps house. Then throw in Mike Davis saying Dana used to visit the cabin that Mike and Barb lived in before they moved in - was this the same cabin Steve supposedly frequented? Questions, questions...……..
Steve was friends with Danny Alvey who was friends with Banier Heater who was friends with Steve McKim - they could have all been friends - who knows

I think it's been said that the dna was on a piece of tape laying in the floor above Sue's head.

Ghost Story, a bestselling horror novel released in 1979, is my all-time favorite book. I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't read it, so I'll try to keep the spoilers to a minimum. Somewhere near the middle of the book, Straub writes about a group obviously modeled on the Process Church, calling them the XXX (Xala Xalior Xiati). His lead villain is a woman who pops up repeatedly under different names, but always with the initials A.M. (reversed, the initials of Mary Ann de Grimston). A.M. has a mysterious benefactor named Mrs. DePeyser, a takeoff on the name of Gabriel de Peyer, aka "Father Christian" of the Process. It will be remembered that John Carr, while in the Air Force, was stationed at one time in Panama City, Florida. (The Yonkers cult had multiple connections to Florida.) This rather out-of-the-way location is where the prologue and epilogue of Straub's novel (which takes place primarily in New York State) are set. But that's not all. Straub dedicated Ghost Story to Valli Shaio and Gregorio Kohon: psychoanalysis.org.uk/gregorio-kohon-international-activityKohon actually worked with R.D. Laing while Shaio was trained at the Laing-funded (and Freemasonry-associated) Tavistock Institute, notorious for its development of mind control methods. Kohon and Shaio later married. (Another villain in the novel--Gregory Bate, A.M.'s fearsome right-hand man--evidently is named for Gregorio Kohon.) I've been reading and enjoying Ghost Story for thirty years, but it's starting to give me chills for an entirely different reason.
