I got the wainwright house in Rye mixed with the Hilton in Tarrytown. I was checking for seminars held in Westchester over the years. I also seen that the Westchester victim of Rodney Alcala was originally from Hollywood. She would have been 15 or so at the time of the Manson murders. Weird Alcala goes to Westchester and kills someone from the same area he goes to right after the murder. I thought he dumped the body on the old Rockefeller estate, but I've read he buried it which would obviously take quite some time.

The Groton Aquaducts are old hiking trails that connect Tarrytown to Sleepy Hollow, Yonkers and other towns in Westchester. If I remember there have been murders back on those old trails over the years.
Correct James on the Croton Aqueduct. Although, might point out that the Wainwright House is actually in the eastern part of Westchester County (in Rye - not far from the Connecticut border). Tarrytown is in the western part of the county.
Here's a couple of links you might find interesting showing the sights along the Croton Aqueduct (second link shows Untermyer Park and mentions Son of Sam connections)

This report says the informant (Mrs. Alvey) said Steve knew the victims and that his friend (Monty) was a friend of Dana or Dana's family. It said she had known Steve since he was a kid so I feel like she knew him well. It also said after the night in question Steve left the area almost immediately and lived with her sister and family for a short time.
Steve's family was living in Quincy when Kathy was killed in '73 and I know Kathy was, and I assume all 3 of the kids, were going to school in Quincy. But I do know that Steve and his sister Debra went to Greenville High later on. I believe (but will have to check) his mom remarried and moved to Sacramento - and that's were Steve lived later on - as did his sister Debra, who moved in with them while battling an illness, before she died. Their (maternal) grandmother was Mabel Brown and is mentioned in the FRB many times.
Kathy was said to be a run away (who knows) and Steve was trouble. I have to think Debra was out there also as the FRB has an article where she sued Greenville High School because she fell off the roof.
What a great thought on needing the car!! I love what Meanie said about the gym bag and think of that too! Yes would love to know if he owned that 55 Chevy in 1981. This is from memory (not good) but I think Meanie posted that Steve cut and sold firewood from his truck (and if he left the area after the murders this would have been before) and also that he was friends with Gary Mollath.

Irving Kanarek talks about Rodeny Alacala - convicted for several murders in California, who after sentencing was taken to New York for killing the daughter of Herman Hover - former owner of Ciros night Club in Hollywood ( currently known as The Comedy Store) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_Alcala
^IMHO this was not accident, and it establishes Rodney Alcala as paid contract hitman, as Herman Hover still owed lots of money to mob loan sharks in the mid 1970's

California school shooter from the 1980s named Patrick Purdy was a member of moons unification church. Purdy drove to the school and started opening fire on Asian kids. The unification church owns the Washington Times hahaha!! So basically the CIA owns it too!

It's also make sense that Alfred's brother Joseph was a figure in the UN funded ecumenical movement.

I knew there had to be a connection somewhere. I knew the Carrs answering service had the UN and the theosophical society. It makes sense that the temple of understanding is just a temple of the theosophical society. Good job finding that!

How about this on the Wainwright House from a 1987 book review in the "Executive Intelligence Review" (Lyndon LaRouche publication) of the original release of "The Ultimate Evil":
"During the period of the Son of Sam cult's activation (1975-76), the strange Carr family ran a telephone answering service from their Yonkers home. One of the clients was a very interesting private psychological clinic in Westchester called the "Hudson River Counseling Service." It involved several Jungian psychologists tied to a center in Rye, New York called the "Guild for Spiritual Awareness," which operates from the former home of Colonel Wainwright. Called the "Wainwright House," this center promotes Jungian studies of pagan and satanic religions for a major Theosophy Lodge based at the United Nations in New York City, the "Lucis Trust." This nexus is connected to a network of bizarre Episcopalian clergy up and down the East Coast working with Canon Edward West and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York. Wainwright House was the location of several Lucis meetings of influential persons in the late 1950s and 1960s who founded "Ecumenical associations" that shaped the entire development of the New Age counterculture . Pursuit of this network's possible involvement in the mass-terror operation may prove fruitful."

More on Roland Gammon "In the 1950s, Gammon was part of a publicity team in mid-town Manhattan, whose clients included Joseph P. Kennedy and his son, Senator John F. Kennedy. Gammon was president Editorial Communications Inc.[5] He was also past president of the Universalist Church in New York City and dean of its all-faith chapel.[5] Notable contacts in Gammon's life as a writer included Walt Disney[15] and Albert Schweitzer, the latter assisted by Gammon in preparing a statement of his philosophy just weeks before his death in 1965.[16] Near the end of his life he founded World Authors Ltd.[5]"
