You're right about the hypnosis being the rage back then and possibly 2 seminars would have been all that was required (equivalent to many hours worth?) it just appears he was doing all he could. He called in the DOJ, FBI, Harlan Embry, Dr. Dash, he talked to a doctor about "how to talk to Justin" and even psychics. We now know he also got Marty in his squad car several times and recorded what he said (hence Marty's now famous exaggerated friendship with Doug Thomas).
I recently watched a 1981 Canadian cold case and the Sgt. who worked the case said they had so many tips coming in that they had to check out and even had clairvoyants giving them wild information but he said they "dared not check it out" for fear it might be credible. He also said early on they released a composite sketch and looking back he wished they hadn't because they lost so many hours checking out tips that never produced a suspect and some people would call in just because they might be having problems with a spouse but they had to check everything out.
Wow so much of this sounds like the Keddie investigation - but really this probably sounds like a lot of cold cases. Looks to me like PCSO was chasing down any and all leads!!

Alcala has the training and know how to be a paid hit man, and in my opinion that's what he was. Remember that black trucker fella who was convicted of killing the SOS cult member who moved to California? I thought Alcala did that until DNA matched the convicted offender. Anyways I've been reading the book Zebra and found a hidden gem that makes the whole operation look look like hits. There's also a similarity in the profession of a couple victims so far, maybe more since I'm not even halfway done yet. I'll fill you guys in when I'm done.

New identities are given to intelligence operatives all the time. Obviously the person would have to be dead or missing before a new one is given. I don't know anything about Craig Glassman, or if he's dead or not, but I do know a few pieces of paper are easily forged if it's wanted by people who can get it done. I doubt Glassman could fake his own death on his own given the death index report.

Tex was always the most interesting person of the whole story. An example would be the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity he was part of. The rituals of this fraternity were based on the rituals of the longfellows. Other members were people like Strom Thurmond, a member of the joint chiefs of staff, and other well knowns.kimda weird how a clean cut right wing boy from Texas ended up joining with Manson.

Sharon Tate straddling the rocket has the same occult meaning as the rocket to the moon; the generative and passive element in the pantheistic god of the occult, or male/female etc.

FWIW Somerset Maugham was an Aleister Crowley devotee.

WOW! Where did you find that photo and care to share how you stumbled upon it? I don't know if it is a Witness Protection thing, but I still have to go with the fact that he is in the Social Security death index and that would be a hard thing to toy with. In Witness Protection, new Social Security numbers are definitely part of the plan, but faking death is not.
I guess anything is possible. I did buy a new box of REYNOLDS Wrap at the market recently, so it may be time to see my favorite Mad Hatter!

I still say I found him. In the meantime, GREAT work! Also--he was the CHIEF of the reserve officers? That's very interesting. Tell me this isn't the same guy. I mean, he's even wearing the SAME GLASSES.

I wonder how he knew that would work. Some poles had rungs, some didn't. He must have known in advance that this one did. See what I mean? And I don't understand why he would even bother, IF their story has any truth to it. Terry Melcher was very attracted to Ruth Ann Moorehouse - attempted to hire her as a Full Time Maid (live in the guest room) at 10050 Cielo Drive ( so Terry could IRS Schedule C tax write off his relationship with Ruth as Business expense) - Candace Bergin would have none of that! While its confirmed Dean Moorehouse could NOT have lived at 10050 Cielo Drive GUEST HOUSE or MAIN HOUSE between the exit of Terry Melcher ( Dec 1968 and arrival of the Polanksi's Feb 1969), as Dean Moorehouse was sent to Prison Jan 1,1969) Anytime Candice Bergen was out of town on location filming a movie 1968, Terry Melcher extended an open invitation to Dean Moorehouse to crash in the Guest Room in the Main house, and Tex Watson would visit and supply Dean and Terry with Drugs Terry Melcher felt Dean Moorehouse was a spiritualist , but "don't forget to bring Ruth along too! In 1968 Tex would stop by 10050 Cielo Drive main house (without Charlie) to do drug deals and hang with Terry and Dean Moorehouse and bring Ruth and a few other girls -so Tex , Charles Manson and many Girls already had a very good "lay of the land" prior working knowledge of Flooplan, Door locks, Telephone cable entries, Main Gate operation, Garage inside / outside at 10050 Ceilo Drive in 1968 Mr Moorehouse spending several days living at the Cielo Drive Main house in 1968 is verified by Tom O'Neil" in Chaos Candice Bergen @ IMDB (see her 1968 filming schedule) www.imdb.com/name/nm0000298/www.mansonblog.com/2012/06/sharon-with-dean-martin.html

Hitler, as usual, was there first. Dr Jacobson's magic formula was based on Theodor Morell's "vitamin" shots he gave Hitler.

Yeah. Only honest people with no criminal records get approached to do murder for hire.
I don't know if this "M'Linda" knows what I know (well, found out) and is just leaving breadcrumbs for people to follow to find out what i found out (very clever of her, since I myself am being very, very careful not to get sued over this) or if her story is sincere and she just happened to have had a hunch that played out. But she has a copy of an application to that karate school in the name of "W** Ramsey" and he gives Larry Rohn's birthday and real father's contact info.
But whether that application is genuine or not, there is a Bill Ramsey and it just gets weirder from there. And now this...

1. Winans and "Karate Dave" Lipsett are prrrrrroooooobably the same person. They looked exactly alike and there are a lot of other overlaps between them.
2. Terminal Island prison is what--1/2 mile?--from the site of Fort MacArthur. As a minimum security prison, it's a "halfway house" for inmates headed to or getting out of McNeil Island and other higher security prisons. Charlie's previous sentence was served at Terminal Island (1956ish-1958ish) and he was released from Terminal Island a few weeks after his time at McNeil Island in 1967. There is no adequate explanation for Charlie being sent to McNeil Island at all, unless he was sent there for some kind of grooming. And sure as shit, he was groomed in Scientology AND music AND the music business there. And he got advanced training in pimping there, as well. And when he gets out of Terminal Island Sharon Tate's dad can practically see him walk out the gate from his office window. That's one hell of a coincidence.
3. Speaking of child-proof medicine bottles, the Tylenol poisoning case...
4. I'll be going into more detail on the podcast, but Hal Snook knew at least two CIA guys. One was "Tony Poe," Anthony Poshepny. And Winans/Karate Dave took orders directly from Poe in Laos and Cambodia. Tony was famous for making absolutely goddamned sure he got his SF Chronicle delivered to him whilst (snicker) he was in country. I'm sure the 408 and 340 were "addressed" specifically to him. He and Hal Snook were in all the same classes at San Jose State University in the late 1940s, and I think they were roommates for a while. "Someone" convinced Tony to join the CIA whilst (snicker. Just can't help myself) he was at SJSU. His first posting for the CIA was Korea. He liaised with the 17th Infantry Regiment, who carried out clandestine infiltration in and across the 38th and the DMZ. He was sent to Indochina to help Vang Pao and the Hmong guerillas. The 17th were transferred to Indochina for those covert incursions into Laos and Cambodia in the Nixon era. Again, Tony Poe was an integral part of those operations. They were sent back to Korea just in time for Berkowitz to join them. Google "second Korean War." But Winans/Karate Dave (or both, if they really are separate people) were sent stateside to train SWAT teams. And the Manson Family.
5. I'm saving it for the podcast, but there's another connection between "Karate Dave" and the "Zodiac Killer." It's a wig-splitter, I promise.
6. Is this the Linkletter-Zodiac stuff Mae once talked about? I thought that had to do with timber land and whatnot. Which again brings us around to Keddie--Hollyweirdos meet lumberjacks in a scene that makes Twin Peaks look like Wonderful World of Disney. Speaking of Disney and JonBenet Ramsey--well, again, I gotta save something for the podcast.
7. Jebus. I thought it would take years to prove 1/10th of this stuff. Even if it was true. You guys have already proved most of it. All I have to do is sit in front of a webcam and read it off this website. It's none of my business, but either you've had this stuff typed up in a googledocs file all these years looking for a place to post it, or you've been a busy goldanged beaver this year. Keep up the good work!

I'm gonna condense this down so it's not a book - and I'm going off memory here so somethings may be a little off - feel free to correct it.
The Compton family lived in Quincy and were sometimes confused with the Crocker family on the old forum (maybe one of the Compton girls married a Crocker?) and I don't remember them moving away after the murders but some did eventually move away and some are still there. The mom worked for the Plumas School District and started the Head Start Program. They were a well known family with maybe 10 children (8 boys 2 girls) and probably well thought of but some of the boys were trouble.
In 1984 the Excellent Citizen Report was reported to the police (some say Donna Williams was the hitch hiker?) bringing up the Comptons name (again?)
In 1985 (probably after the Excellent Report) Brian Compton was interviewed by LE and said that Johnny and Dana had been at a party at his house that night and 2 weird guys from Oroville were there too but the party didn't materialize so they took the sterio back over to Brian's (friend, cousin?) Daniel S who lived next door at the time. Daniel was interviewed also./p]
In 2001 in a FRB article Don Stoy said they had evidence that the boys were at the party of a well known family and 2 weird behaving men possibly from Oroville were there. It also goes on to say that there is rumor that someone from the party committed the murders.
The Compton's were black so if there's any truth to the composites there was no mention of anyone being black. My question is if the party never materialized (I'm assuming to mean nobody really showed up) then why wouldn't he know who the two guys from Oroville (getting closer to Camp 18) were - why would two random guys from Oroville show up at Brian Compton's party when nobody much else from Quincy did? Doesn't make sense and he's the one who admitted to the boys being there.
Steve Durham (who supposedly gave the boys a ride to the park that night) had been at a party on the same road (Lee Street) as the Comptons "party".
Hope, in the Bonnie's Life of Crime post Heather was Shellie B's daughter (she's on Tina's friend list) and she said her dad (she gave his name) was at the Oakland camp party and Johnny and Dana were there. I sometimes wonder if some of these "parties" weren't one party or if some claimed to be at the Oakland Camp party but were really at the party "that nobody admitted to being at". Just a thought.
Also Karl Spang mentioned one of the Comptons in one of his stories also. I could go on and on ……………
If the boys didn’t eat at the foster home and Pat gave them hamburger money then what did they do with the money? Certainly it wasn’t much
