I know, it is so confusing. When exactly did she supposedly say she loathed and feared him and to whom....we don't know because only bits and pieces are put out. What else did she say in that report? It's so frustrating. Doug tipped her off to the supposed affair, where did that come from? She's not Kathy Beckley's bartender friend who supposedly gave the boys the ride home...is she? There hasn't been anyone else speaking of this affair has there?

Been meaning to post this just forgot from 28 FB page:
For starters I have not seen anyone's interviews so I'm just going off of what has been posted. Kathy Andrea had worked in the office at Nugget Motors for years and as far as I know was working there in April 1981 so that would have been her "real" job. She also worked as a bartender at the Keddie Back Door Bar. As of April 1981 the bar was open Tuesday-Friday 11:00am till ? and Saturday and Sunday 4:00pm till ? Kathy worked for Jack Brown, who leased the bar from the Albins/Hogaboams, and she also worked with Jack at Nugget Motors. I don't find it odd that Kathy wouldn't know Marty because from what we've been told he started working at the Keddie Restaurant in 1980 and did not work for very long. Marty worked in the restaurant and Kathy worked in the bar so I really don't see how their paths would have crossed much and it appears that Kathy got a lot of her Marty info from Doug Albin. What's really strange is that Kathy said Doug A. told her Marty was seeing Sue. Did Jan Albin mention that in either of her interviews? If Doug discussed that with Kathy then why not discuss it with his wife, Jan? Maybe Doug discussed this with Kathy after the Marty stories got around.

Oh, there's no doubt a LOT of DCFS (or whatever) agencies are infiltrated and become suppliers of children to pedophile "foster" children. Roone Arledge Birthday Party 1977 In the 1970s- for a time I was playing guitar in a popular LA Dance Band "Chrystal". One of the more cringe moments occurred in 1977. Having just been named head of ABC News, the network hosted a private Birthday Pool Party for Roone Arledge at what was then known as Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn - (near Universal Studios). Each of the thirty rooms on the ground floor was occupied by Pageant Mom's who primped and glammed up their 12 year old daughters to the max. Apparently Mr Arledge was to select the winner and the runner up for evening fun. Each girl would strut and pose in front of top brass from ABC network in attendance. Mr. Arledge sat with with his drinking buddy's in front of the poolside Fireplace, as my band played "Get down tonight" for the girls to dance to. I soon quit that band and moved on to pursue a different path in my music career. ("same as it ever was, same as it ever was") www.thegarland.com/about/galleryen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roone_Arledge

Could be. But the newspaper article is a nice touch. And where DID the guy in the mugshot (dated 2002) get those glasses?
Let me see if I can find a higher res version of the picture of Glassman in the paper in 1977. See how it kind of looks like his right earlobe has been cut off and sewn back on? See the same thing on the mug shot? I'm not THAT crazy. Two Craig Glassmans, with the same ear, the same glasses both from Upstate New York.

Oh, that's the EASIEST thing to "fake." You don't have to fake it. All you have to do is file a claim (like, by or on behalf of his daughter) for survivor benefits. That's it. If the claim is denied for lack of death certificate or any other reason, the "deceased" stays listed in the index. Then all you have to do is change your birthdate. Well, that's how easy it was back in the day. The guy in the mug shot is named Craig Glassman. He moved from upstate New York to Florida right after Craig Glassman died. The birthdates are different. But he's wearing the same glasses. Which is weird. Fake a death. Have a close relative visit and stay in touch with one of the highest profile serial killers of all time (and make sure the press knows about it). Keep the exact same name. And make sure the local Pearle Vision has a continuous supply of those fashionable 1970s specs.
I'm reaching for the Reynolds Wrap as we speak!
Although, Bin Laden was living just a few blocks away from the Pakistani Army/Academy (under their "eyes" so to speak!) so sometimes the most obvious can be.......THE MOST OBVIOUS!
This one Professor though, I feel is CASE CLOSED with all due respect.

history.santacruzpl.org/omeka/items/show/102316#?c=0&m=0&s=0&cv=0 John Linley Frazier John Linley Frazier was born in Ohio on 26 January 1946. Following a car accident in the late 1960s he became a religious fanatic who spent days with his Bible and believed the voice of God was telling him to commit homicides. On October 19, 1970, Frazier entered the home of ophthalmologist Victor Ohta. He found Ohta and his wife, two sons, and secretary there. In a delusional fit, believing he was an agent of God, he bound their hands with colorful scarves, shot the five of them dead and put their bodies in the home's swimming pool.

October 19, 1970 -Twenty four, year old John Linley Frazier – would set in motion a chain of events that would initially end the lives of five individuals and ultimately take the lives of seven. The mass murder which you are about to read, would go down in Santa Cruz infamous history for generations to come.
Frazier, a handsome young man, with a lovely wife and beautiful child of his own, had been spiraling out of control and down a dark self destructive path. During the 1970’s Santa Cruz was a haven for pot smoking hippies, however popping pills and hallucinogenic’ s like LSD was the drug of choice. A follower of the teachings of Charles Manson, Frazier began becoming obsessed with a local eye surgeon by the name of Dr. Victor Ohta.
45 year old Japanese / American, Dr. Ohta, was very well liked in the community, and had a rags to riches fairy tale life style. Ohta, lived in a lavish mansion high on the mountainous hill tops of Soquel, he drove a Rolls Royce and wore colorful expensive silk scarves as an accessory to his tailored attire. Unfortunately unbeknown to Dr. Ohta, he had drawn the attention of Frazier, a tarot reading, pill popping, stalker, who became obsessed with him and believed Ohta was materialistic and abusing the natural environment- Little did Ohta know, but he and his entire family would soon fall victim to the irrational delusions of one man.
Frazier; took refuge in a nearby 6x6 foot shack, hidden in the thicket of the woods, surrounded by a grave yard of abandoned vehicles, located less then a mile, from the Ohta mansion. Frazier had often unsuspectingly broke into the Ohta residence when no one was home, even stealing a pair of binoculars which he used to spy on Ohta.
Frazier often would follow the local doctor to his practice at a semi-resort community on a ridge over looking the Pacific Ocean, while going unnoticed; he left a threatening note that was slipped under the windshield of the doctors car reading;
“Today World War III will begin as brought to you by the free universe.
From this day forward, anyone or any company of persons who misuses
The natural environment or destroys same will suffer the penalty of death…
Materialism must die or mankind will.”
The note was signed by using four symbols of medieval fortune telling art, used in Tarot. The knight of wands, knight of cups, knight of pentacle and knight of swords.
Frazier was seemingly convinced that Dr. Ohta, needed to be “snuffed out” for having to many material possessions, even relaying this to his hippie cohorts, which would later be his undoing.
That October afternoon, Frazier lay in wait at the Ohta home, one by one as the family arrived home, Frazier held them at gun point and preceded to bound and blind fold them, using the colorful scarves belonging to Dr. Ohta.
In total there was Dr. Ohta’s wife, Virginia, age 41, his two sons, Richard age 12 and Victor age 11, the doctors secretary, Dorothy Cadwallader age 38 and the doctor himself. All whom were shot in the head execution style before being thrown in the Ohta swimming pool. Frazier even shot and killed the family cat, all in the name of “materialism”.
Afterwards he lit the mansion on fire and moved the family's Lincoln Continental in the driveway in order to prevent rescuers from entering the premises. Firefighters arriving on the scene were relieved to notice that there was no one present in the home at the time the fire was being extinguished, until one rescuer went to the back of the house near the swimming pool. Their the grisly discovery was made as he gazed into a pool colored blood red, unable to immediately process what he was looking upon. It would be the first mass murder in Santa Cruz history.
It wasn't long before Frazier was implicated and apprehended for the killings. Out raged by the carnage that he bestowed upon an innocent family - a large group of Frazier's peers in the hippy community -one that practiced free love, would be his undoing - as they immediately reported Frazier's verbal statements to "snuff out" Victor Ohta to authorities. Frazier was arrested without incident.
The two Ohta daughters, age 15 and 18, were both away at boarding school during the horrific event, however the Ohta family tragedies continued in 1977, When Tauren Ohta age 25, committed suicide. She never was able to bare the pain of losing her family, Tauren was found deceased by carbon monoxide poisoning in her car in the garage of her mother in laws home.
In 1979 another tragedy struck the surviving Ohta family when Dr. Ohta's mother also committed suicide - while in a convalescent home -she hung herself in her bathroom. She was 78 years of age. She too, could not bare the pain of an entire family lost and felt as if they were cursed. The youngest daughter, Lark, is the only surviving Ohta family member, she remains in seclusion.
John Linley Frazier was sentenced to death, however, his sentenced was commuted to life in prison after the death penalty was abolished. Frazier served the majority of his sentence at Mule Creek State Prison facility.
On August 13, 2009 he hung himself in his jail cell, he was 62 years old. Prison officials were actually surprised by the hanging, Frazier aside from minor infractions had been a model prisoner.
This was one of the most heinous crimes ever committed in 1970.

From 1970-73, Santa Cruz was plagued by a trio of brutal mass murderers. This is the first in a three-part series. Sheriff’s deputies were the first to arrive on Monday, Oct. 20, 1970 at the scene of the fire at 999 Rodeo Gulch Road, a $300,000 flagstone home (now worth over $2 million) in Soquel hills overlooking Santa Cruz and the ocean. Things were odd about this fire from the beginning. Deputies had to push away a red Rolls Royce and a black Lincoln that were parked across the driveway so fire crews could get in. Fire Chief Ted Pound went through the backyard to try and tap the home’s swimming pool as a source of water to fight the growing blaze. He found something far worse than the fire there.
The body of Dorothy Cadwallader, a 38-year-old medical secretary, was floating at the top of the pool. Beneath her were the bodies of homeowners Victor and Virginia Ohta, and their two sons, Taggart, 11, and Derek, 12. It was a massacre. All five victims had been shot in the back of the head, and their hands were bound with what were described as “colorful scarves.” Three of the victims’ faces were also covered by scarves. “It was pretty awful,” Santa Cruz County District Attorney Peter Chang (1937-2004) said, recalling the sight of young Derek Ohta being pulled from the pool. “He looked exactly like my son. I thought I was dreaming.” Dr. Victor Masashi Ohta was a prominent eye surgeon who had moved to Santa Cruz after being discharged from the Air Force in 1960. Virginia Ohta sang in a local chorus and modeled gowns for a Santa Cruz Woman’s Club fashion show only months before her death. The Ohta’s two daughters, Tara and Lark, were fortunately both away at school while their family was slaughtered. Making a strange case even stranger, a bizarre typewritten note was found on the window of the Rolls Royce.
“today (sic) world war 3 will begin as brought to you by the people of the free universe,” the missive began, all in lowercase. The writer of the note promised “the penelty [sic] of death” to “anything or anyone who dose [sic] not support natural life on this planet.”
The note closed with a listing of tarot cards in bold print:
KNIGHT OF WANDS
KNIGHT OF CUPS
KNIGHT OF PENTACLES
KNIGHT OF SWORDS
Down the hill from the Ohta’s opulent home were a rusty trailer surrounded by rickety cabins, and a dry creek bed filled with broken-down cars. Scruffy and bearded John Linley Frazier had been living in a cowshed by his mother’s trailer for the past four months as he descended into the madness of paranoid schizophrenia. He murdered the Ohtas and Cadwallader believing that he had been chosen by God to save the environment.
Frazier had convinced himself that he was the John referred to in the New Testament’s Book of Revelations, and incorporated the occult into what Stanford psychiatrist Donald Lunde described as “a confusing system of delusional beliefs.” Frazier saw his wife and mother’s desperate attempts to get him to seek therapy as a conspiracy against him and his mission. A week before the murders, he told his wife that “some materialists might have to die” for him to fulfill his destiny.
Neighbors who had seen Frazier patrolling the wooded hills around his and the Ohtas’ home with a gun reported their suspicions to police. Frazier had also been seen driving the Ohtas’ station wagon after the murders. Police found Frazier asleep in his cabin on Friday Oct. 23, 1970 and arrested him.
A jury found Frazier to be legally sane, and he was tried and convicted of five counts of murder. During his trial, he appeared with the left side of his head, beard and eyebrows shaved bald, making him look like a deranged Batman villain.
Victor Ohta’s mother and his daughter Tara both killed themselves in the wake of the killings, leaving Lark Ohta as the family’s only survivor. Frazier committed suicide in Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, Calif. in August 2009.
The Ohta murders appeared to be an aberration to the people of Santa Cruz at the time, but they were just the beginning.

Below is the complete article:
Letter-Writer Links Frazier and ‘Zodiac’
By Duane Sandul, Tribune Staff Writer [10]
The Zodiac killer also was an accomplice of John Linley Frazier in the mass murders of Soquel eye surgeon Victor Ohta and four others on Oct. 19, 1970, a woman from Woodland Hills claims in a letter to the Tribune.
The woman, Mrs. Marie Vigil, asked the Tribune to forward the letter to Frazier’s attorney.
She said that Dr. Ohta once prescribed glasses for the Zodiac killer, sought for multiple murders in San Francisco. Mrs. Vigil identified the Zodiac killer as Robert Linkletter and said she saw Linkletter with Frazier before the Ohta murders.
She said she knew Linkletter as a man who has been killing since 1966 but declined to elaborate in a telephone conversation with the Tribune from her San Fernando Valley home. She said she had not intended her letter to become public information but as “confidential” to the defense.
James Jackson, attorney for Frazier, said last night the letter writer “probably is eccentric,” but that he would have an agent “check out the letter.”
“I’ve received seemingly wild letters before which indeed did help produce witnesses,” Jackson said. He added he had received other letters linking the Zodiac killer with Ohta.
The typewritten letter claims that the Zodiac killer also is one of the killers of Sharon Tate and the LaBiancas. Charles Manson and his “family” were convicted for those murders earlier this year.
When the Tribune spoke with Mrs. Vigil, she declined to discuss specifics “over the telephone.”
Frazier’s trial, shifted to Redwood City from Santa Cruz by order of the California Supreme Court, ended Wednesday. The four-man, eight-woman jury which must decide his guilt or innocence will begin deliberations Friday.
Frazier has pleaded innocent and innocent by reason of insanity.
Mrs. Vigil, who said she is over 50 years old, told the Tribune she had reported her information to police departments linking the Zodiac killer with Frazier although she wouldn’t say which police departments.
Sgt. Frank Witt of the Woodland Police Department told the Tribune police have no record of Mrs. Vigil filing a report with them
Asked why she thought Frazier and the Zodiac killer are accomplices, Mrs. Vigil said, “Because they were together.” She added, “I’ve seen them; they were in Woodland Hills.”
She would give no further information about her acquaintance with the “Zodiac killer.”
Excerpts from the letter: “I do have some information about the accomplice of Frazier. He is Robert Linkletter, one of the killers of Miss Tate, La Bianca never brought to trial here, the killer who lost one pair of glasses the night of the Tate killings.
“Less than one month prior to the execution of Dr. and Mrs. Ohta and three other people, Robert was with them here one Sunday pointing me out to them because I knew those glasses did belonged (sic) to him. Dr. Ohta must have prescribed them. A few days later, I was to see Robert again with Frazier driving a light-colored van, kind of old. Robert was driving, was also wearing a blonde wig and some round oversized glasses with pink lenses …
“If the two daughters of Dr. and Mrs. Ohta know of some connection with their father and Robert Linkletter, their lives are in danger …. [11]
“… This killer has been dropping bodies since 1966, a knife killing in Riverside he has admitted. He moves constantly from San Diego to the High Sierra killing here and there. He must believe the Law and Order is willing to cover up all of his murders
Sincerely,
Mrs. Marie P. Vigil” [12]
According to the above excerpts, Robert Linkletter had a discussion with Dr. and Mrs. Ohta on a Sunday in late September. Mrs. Vigil apparently was not part of this discussion but somewhere nearby, close enough so that Robert could point her out as someone who knew about the glasses at the Tate house. A few days later she saw him with Frazier.
The last paragraph says he “has been dropping bodies since 1966, a knife killing in Riverside he has admitted.” On October 30, 1966, Cheri Jo Bates, a student of Riverside Community College, was brutally beaten and stabbed to death. One month later, nearly identical typewritten letters were mailed to the Riverside police and the Riverside Press-Enterprise, titled “The Confession,” describing how he killed her. A third letter, handwritten, was sent to Cheri Jo’s father, Joseph Bates. It said, “Bates had to die, there will be more,” and it was signed with the letter “Z.” Going on an anonymous tip, Paul Avery wrote an article for the San Francisco Chronicle on November 16, 1970, linking the Zodiac to the Bates murder. Five months later, on March 13, 1971, the Zodiac mailed a letter to the Los Angeles Times acknowledging he had indeed killed Bates.
Avery further said in his article that a janitor found a poem carved into the bottom side of a desktop in the Riverside College library. [13] Its language and handwriting resembled that of the Zodiac. Titled “Sick of living/unwilling to die,” it was signed with the initials rh. It is possible that the h was originally an l. There are three h’s in the poem. The first two were made with a continuous motion without lifting the pen, and the descending part of the arch ends at, or near, the baseline. Unlike the first two h’s, the slight overlap of the left foot of the arch on the vertical line in the third h indicates a two-step operation. Furthermore, the termination of the descending part of the arch in the first two h’s have an assurance that is lacking in the third h, with the right side of the arch trailing hesitantly below the baseline. Since Sherwood Morrill saw distortion and disguise in the formation of letters in the letter to Joseph Bates, the initials at the end of the desktop poem might been subjected to the same treatment to disguise the writer’s identity.
First h Second h initials
Vigil said that Robert travelled constantly between San Diego and the High Sierra. In the second letter that will be quoted below, he is said to have sometimes stayed with his sister at Lake Tahoe and that he was a member of the Sierra Club. His parents often spent their weekends at a skiing cabin in Alpine Meadows.
Six weeks prior to the Ohta massacre, on September 6, 1970, Donna Lass, a nurse at the Sahara Tahoe hotel and casino, disappeared. Six months later, the Zodiac sent a postcard to the San Francisco Chronicle claiming responsibility for the nurse’s disappearance. The postcard was a collage featuring a scene from an advertisement for Forest Pines condominiums in Incline Village and pasted letters and texts from magazines including one that read “Sierra Club.”
Vigil wrote her second letter on November 21, 1971 to Judge Charles Franich, the presiding judge of the Frazier trial, forwarded through the Redwood City Tribune. [14] Apparently it never appeared in print, and its contents are only known through Mae Brussell. She read excerpts on two of her programs, sometimes word for word, sometimes paraphrasing, in order to leave out information she wanted to keep confidential. Below is one excerpt:
“The Los Angeles Times of today finally had a story about the trial and murder of the Ohtas and their secretary. You asked if I was certain it was John Frazier who was with Robert Linkletter. They were here in Woodland Hills less than a month prior to those killings. He looked exactly like Frazier, when they were arrested, except for one thing. He also wears glasses. About the van, there were two people in the car and it was Robert who was driving it. I do not recall something in the newspaper about that at the time.
According to Frazier’s original story, he drove a white van to the Ohta house where he met three persons. They went into the house, while Frazier stood in the driveway. After they came out, Frazier drove Mrs. Ohta’s car. Witnesses saw three people in the car. That leaves one to drive the white van. Probably on the following day, in accordance with Vigil’s letter, two people were in the white van and the other two were in Mrs. Ohta’s car as they drove toward the railroad tunnel. I have some reason to believe that Robert was driving north just last Thursday. So if you are observant, you will see him snickering in the courtroom to see how his murders are done and taken care of. He is the man that John Frazier is trying to find at the rear of the courtroom. Does Frazier know about the organization of killers called the International White Guard? Does he fear his wife will be killed if he were to name Robert Linkletter and his father as being heavy in this honorable organization of killers?
On the day “Robert was driving north,” Thursday, November 18, the court had gone into recess. Frazier apparently expected to see him prior to the recess. The Los Angeles Times article mentioned in the letter, dated November 21, said, “Frazier’s appearance in court seems strangely in contrast to the magnitude of the crime he is accused of. Much of the time, the 5-foot, 6-inch defendant sits slumped in his chair, turned from the judge and jury, focusing his soft hazel eyes impassively toward the rear of the sparsely occupied courtroom.” Linkletter might have been in the back of the courtroom on Monday to hear the closing arguments. He might have been “snickering” as the jury convicted Frazier of mass murder on November 29. Ten days later, the same jury declared him legally sane, leaving the way clear for the judge to impose the death penalty on December 30. His sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment after the California Supreme Court abolished the death penalty on February 18, 1972.
Robert was also identified as the Zodiac by his sister three days before her death. She had read his first message, that was partly coded. I never believed that she committed suicide any more than her brother-in-law, John Zweyer, did. He had been shot by Robert. These two were witnesses the night of the Tate murders. John did turn down a bribe that was offered to him concerning the killings. These are the kind of killers that this state has been cultivating and nurturing. Robert is 27. Sometimes he lets his beard grow. He wears a wig, and sometimes he looks almost bald. Within the past two years, I have seen him in all colors and wig lengths. I know him as Robert Linkletter and also as the Zodiac. I drive a school bus in Los Angeles, and I used to see him on Van Nuys and Ventura Boulevards. He sometimes waits for me on Ventura Boulevard, driving on my way to pick up some children from school. He follows behind and then moves to the side until he is sure I recognize him. Someone must know how smart he is. He stays sometimes at Lake Tahoe with his older sister, who is a widow, and belongs to the Sierra Club, which is interested in the misuse of the environment. This Robert, may I say, has the eyes and fingerprints that should be checked. Also I believe Dr. Ohta must have prescribed those glasses that were lost the night of the Tate murders. A plea of not guilty by reason of insanity is no defense at all [referring to Frazier], because of the horror of those murders. They should convict everyone who is brought in before the courts. zodiackilleridentified.com/2018/10/23/mae-brussell-identified-killer/

I think DNA, as useful as it is to helping close old cases, sometimes misleads law enforcement into believing that once they've got a match, they've caught the sole perpetrator and can stop their investigation. Numerous murders where DNA seemingly only implicates one assailant could be group hits in which only one of the perpetrators actually left usable DNA. This is likely true in numerous cases, such as the Golden State Killer murders (though many of the supposed DNA matches there are also questionable), the Atlanta child murders (DNA did identify Wayne Williams but that doesn't take away from all of the evidence of a larger pedophile group being responsible), and the Jill Barcomb murder (in which Alcala was identified by DNA, but George Shamshak had previously confessed to it being a group effort with two other unidentified men, quite possibly his brother Sam Shamshak and Rodney Alcala). And maybe what happened to Dawn Koons is the same: Prentice Foreman took the fall because he is the one who left DNA while raping Dawn, when in fact it was a larger cult crime. Bakersfield was home to various ritual abuse allegations around this time as well as an elite pedophile group known as the Lords of Bakersfield, and Nancy Krebs's uncle Clifford Gordon "Chris" Christoff who denounced her accusations against the Whites et. al. was a sheriff's deputy in Kern County at the same time also. George, you could probably also add the #1 case out there that was closed and "solved" due to DNA and a sole suspect - Arlis Perry
Also, I think you asked about this in the past (also James & Jon), but you might want to try the Brain/Cult site again. I've been able to access recently, but God knows it can disappear rather quickly at any given time!

Alcala has the training and know how to be a paid hit man, and in my opinion that's what he was. Remember that black trucker fella who was convicted of killing the SOS cult member who moved to California? I thought Alcala did that until DNA matched the convicted offender. Anyways I've been reading the book Zebra and found a hidden gem that makes the whole operation look look like hits. There's also a similarity in the profession of a couple victims so far, maybe more since I'm not even halfway done yet. I'll fill you guys in when I'm done.
