I think too many people, including maybe police, think that Chuck is the "suspect," when it really was probably his brother Cary (a convicted pedophile.)
The other weird thing is, Chuck talks about visiting the crime scene like he's having a flashback. And the two sketches look like Henry and Cary did then (hell, Cary STILL looks exactly like the long-haired sketch.)
Chief would probably not have recognized Cary, even if he did recognize Chuck somehow. He said that Marty gave them all a ride in a "pickup," but if Marty, Chuck, Cary, Chief, Dana, and Johnny, and then Tina, were all riding in the "cab" of a truck, it would have to be a Blazer or Suburban. Like the green and white blazer (possibly with Idaho plates) some witnesses said they saw outside Cabin 28. And I can prove Chuck and Cary had connections to Idaho.
So, I wonder: Did police just not know (because their witnesses didn't, either) that CARY was a suspect? Or, do they know, and that's all part of the files they never leaked? Its a not uncommon trick for a relative or a friend to act suspicious in order to attract attention away from the real suspect, and then come up with an alibi, etc. Risky, but I've seen it before.
My point is, suppose CARY was partying in Keddie, and Dana called HIM to come over to Cabin 28 and then you know what and then called Chuck and Henry to pick him up? The other pickup they saw dumping trash must have been Jim Seabolt. Did he see THEM?
