Either scenario would be understandable as to how Marty and Bo came to the front and center of the documentaries and forums.
Either Josh held back important information because the Sharp family was who his loyalty was with or the police hand picked information that they didn't mind being used for Josh's documentary. Josh said in his book that the PCSO stalled on allowing them into the Keddie Room.
We've debated off and on about the pellet gun because we don't know who it belonged to. The truth is the police may very well know who owned a pellet gun. The 1984 report on them tracking down Ward Weaver's son owning a pellet gun could be because they wanted to know where he got his since the gun (to our knowledge) was never found. The reports we have mention nothing about a pellet gun other than the broken sight ramp that was found and the note of them wanting to talk to Weaver's son. No mention of anyone being shot with the gun so it's possible the police never intended for that information (if they had any) to be released.
There is definitely a reason for the lack of info on Tina. Either the police or Josh withheld it for different reasons.
If someone took Tina or Tina's body to Feather Falls they must have had transportation, enough gas money, and plenty of time to do so. I find it had to believe she hid out or was held in Keddie until the next day.
The sweatshirt on the back of the toilet could have been Dana's but why wouldn't it have been in the floor along with his jacket? He could have left it there before he and Johnny ever went back to Quincy but why would it have laid there for hours without being moved out of the way? So really we have no clue who the sweat shirt belonged to unless it was Dana's or the killers. If it was the killer's shirt the question is why were they in the bathroom? Did they feel comfortable enough to clean up in there?
