Yes Kay I too feel that Victoria has a "friend" she can go to for info without researching herself. After the first documentary he and many other BLASTED Victoria Metcalf for telling what the talk of the town was at the time of the murders (she didn't say those were her thoughts she said it was the town talk at the time of the murders) and he said such vile things about her for that yet he ended up saying the same things himself. She is right there in Plumas County, she is a reporter so why in the world wouldn't she at least do what Josh Seabold did (when he wrote the 20th anniversary article) and ask the police for information? This was Josh Hancock, Sheila, and the Meeks theory so why not interview them?
Dmac BLASTED Mike Gamberg BEFORE they became "partners" so why would Mike tell him anything of value to share with the world?? Mike Gamberg was capable of working this case himself so why would he have ever needed Dmac? My thoughts are that Mike wanted the case files back and there was no other way other than to befriend the unfriendable - so he did. He also wanted to make sure that if someone contacted Dmac through Keddie28forum and gave him information that Dmac would in turn give it to him. So if Mike has to listen to Dmac ramble on via text, email, or phone conversation for hours upon hours he'll do it just to make sure he's getting what he needs and also to make sure he doesn't end up on that corruption list with all other former LE - but believe me Dmac will have no trouble turning on Gamberg if the friendship turns south or if he begins to feel Mike is ignoring him.
The only breakthrough information that we ever got from Dmac and Gambergs "friendship" was that there was never a bloody ashtray found in 28 (which only confirmed the fact that all the "Marty's print is on a bloody glass" talk was pure gossip). The other came from Greg Hagwood on the ID Show which was that many people said Joel Lipsey was at the Back Door Bar that night. I don't personally believe Dmac knows who gave the boys a ride because, as he once told us, he'd have it all over his forum. If I'm wrong and he does know who it is then the person's reputation is too questionable to post - because some of us have done our homework and he knows that!!
