Chuck and Henry

Maggie said that last Saturday night (4-25-81), Susan K. had been in the dorm lounge and had gone out for a few minutes and when she returned at approx. 2130 hrs, Chuck and another guy was with her.

Maggie had also mentioned that when Chuck came in with Susie, Susie's sister Margaret, and another girl she thinks was named Tracy was also with them, besides Chuck's friend. Chuck and his friend are tree planters for the USF/S, according to Maggie.

I read this many times but could not get the krois girls sorted out. Well there were 5 girls, Linda, Mary, Vickie, Maggie or Margaret (1962), and Susan Marie. In looking them up I found that Susan was born May 4, 1968 (she passed away in 2016). She was the same age as Tina (July 1968).

Eugene S. says he met Dana around noon walking toward town. They bought a six-pack and drank it while walking around town. Dana wanted to see Susan K. and the last time he saw Dana he was hitchhiking to Keddie (doesn’t match other statements).

Maybe Eugene meant Maggie. But I think Maggie was going with Chuck Walke. Chuck went by to visit old girlfriend while in Livermore.

I asked him (Chuck) also if there was anyone in Keddie or elsewhere that could confirm his actions while in Keddie that morning except Henry and he said that maybe Mike M. saw him. I sent Detective Forcino over to ask Mike if he had observed Henry or Chuck in Keddie that morning and Mike told Forcino that he hadn't, he didn't think.

How long was Chuck and Henry in Keddie? Mike was walking around 12:30-1:00. Chuck must have seen Mike or he would not have known he was out that night.

Henry's mother further stated that she was home Sunday morning when her son arrived home and it was around 0330 or 0400.

Chuck tells in the documentary that they "got to Keddie around 4:30-5:00 early Sunday Morning. He said he had a girl friend that lived in Keddie and they thought they would stop by, it was around 5:30 or a quarter till six, have some coffee, have some breakfast. She wasn't up so they drove out."
