As for Justin saying he didn't know which part of his recollections were just a dream and which part of his recollections were reality - he obviously didn't even recall this "dream" for the police until the next day so it's really hard to believe he would remember a dream that long after waking up. I can't even remember what I dreamed about last night - and certainly not in vivid detail.
So I would think either what he was telling them was the truth or what he was telling them was a lie - not a dream. Don Stoy said it was impossible to see what Justin said he saw from the position he claimed to be standing in.
