Unfortunately I think too many people connected to this case were bad drug addicts and their memory is probably s**t at this point. I bet their memory back then was pretty bad. Even drinking a lot causes memory loss and a lot of these people did not just drink. I also think that the drinking and drugging that apparently went on constantly in Keddie plays a huge part in these murders. You can look at Chuck and see everything he has ever done all over him.
Henry's story is pretty damning to me as well. Not only could he and Chuck not get their stories straight we have the informant with his story of what he heard and the behavior of Henry through that. How would the informant know things like being tied up and it all started as a game if someone who was there did not tell him? He passed the polygraph, but there are lots of guilty people in the world that have passed them too. Does anyone know if hypnosis can really help you pass a polygraph? This was 81 so I am wondering if anyone has an opinion of this in 2018? Also, the supposed acid party behind cabin 28, does anyone know who all was supposed to be there that night? I mean acid, drinking and any other drug that was going around being mixed together could easily help someone snap and do some terrible things.
I am very interested in the Philip story too. I think there might be some truth to what he said regarding the night of the murders. Obviously he was pretty impaired and probably did not process everything correctly even then, but the little that I have read about his statements seem to have a small ring of truth to them. He could have mixed up some of the people and gotten some of the story straight. Makes me wish these people were more lucid in 81 and we might have a better idea of what really went on.
