One more thought, Justin is at a weird age between being a little boy and a teenager. He's hanging out with the younger boys even though John is closer in age which may suggest an emotional/mental immaturity. Johnny is hanging out with someone who should be too old for him, but they at least seem to have common teenage interests. (Pot and girls)
