I'd say a lumberjack would be very familiar with a double clove hitch type knot.
A simple all-purpose hitch. Easy to tie and untie. A useful and easy to tie knot, the Clove Hitch is a good binding knot. However, as a hitch it should be used with caution because it can slip or come undone if the object it is tied to rotates or if constant pressure is not maintained on the line.
-Wrists & ankles are bound with 2 different electrical cords.
-Both cords are black in color and in double segments
--the larger cord shows a brown female plug in The other end is a male type plug. This cord loops about the wrists and extends over the right hand, between the thumb and forefinger and connects with a lead of the cord which connects to the ankle. This connection is accomplished with the female end caught in a suggestive double clove hitch type knot near the dorsum (top) of the right hand. The cord continues between the upper thigh, just below the vulva to the ankles.
-The gag is embedded deeply into the mouth, forcing the anterior upper teeth up over the gag. The gags are tied in double knots on the left side of the face.
A search of the area where Tina's remains were found turned up empty medical taped dispenser, a portion of a pair of Levi's with one missing rear pocket, and a decomposed blue nylon jacket.
Item S-VII [pink cloth tie/belt] item 1 bears a knot which is similar to the knot in the brassiere (Item S-II Item 2) and dissimilar to all of the other submitted knots. Interesting.
The red plastic (Item S-VII item 4) is not from a jacket and is probably boundary ribbon of a different width and color than that submitted on item S-VII item 3.
The possibility of cuts in the jacket and blue jean material (Items S-VII 7 & 8) cannot be determined due to the deterioration of the material caused by its being buried for a prolonged period of time.
The metal band (S-VII item 9) was buried for at least 6 months.
