Chuck walke answered someone on fb under the name beardancer2003: What happens when you pull out the plunger of a syringe while it's in your vein? When using a hypodermic needle and it is in your vein, what happens if you pull the plunger out completely? Does blood start spurting, or does air rush in? Or does nothing really happen? I just want to know in case it happens to me while I'm using it. Update: I mean all the way out, not just like pull it back.
Best Answer: check this I'm a former intervienious drug user been done that. I mean exactly what you asked in your question. This is what happened to me. I pulled the plunger all the way out., the drug I was using I watch it all rapidly rushed into my vain luckily, I knew it was going to be followed by the rush of air. I quickly pulled the syringe out. You must be very aware an carefull if this happens to you. The suction of the liquid will be followed by rush of air. I was lucky to be aware and saw the real thing pulling the syringe out NOW.
