Also, it appears that Frank J Denaro JUNIOR, retired Senior VP of money markets at Citibank and now member of Citigroup board of directors,

Frank Jr may be retired. But he was definitely a Director (it's on his resume.) He was born in 1952, apparently on Staten Island. That would make him 8 years younger than "Andre Rand" (born Frank Rushan, Jr March 11, 1944 Staten Island) for whatever the hell that's worth. I mean, IF there's some long-lived cult in the NYC metro area wherein young men/boys are lured in by older boys, a la John Carr, then Andre Rand may have had such a "little brother." No? And if Frank Joseph Denaro Jr (father went by "Joe Sr," not "Frank, Sr") was 12 when Andre was 20...I only mention it, because Carl's biological father worked in mental hospitals in Orange County New York, if not Westchester (we'd have to take Carl's word for that kind of detail.) Andre's mother was in Pilgrim. It would have been a commute of over 90 miles one way for Carl's dad to have ever worked at Pilgrim or Willowbrook, so that seems unlikely. But he did the exact same job that Andre did--Attendant at a funny farm.
One of Cameron's Hollyweird "Children" was a male nurse at one of the Navy's funny farms where Leonard Lake spent one of his vacations. And of course, the drug smuggling ring we're after allegedly made use of hospitals (specifically, their blood supply system.) Big psych hospitals like Willowbrook and Pilgrim (the biggest hospital in history) and Middletown (part of a larger hospital campus) had their own big labs, plus surgical facilities and other uses for blood products. 'Specially Middletown, where Carl's father worked.
And there is NO WAY Gus Jakobs didn't meet Christine Freund. Her bosses did business with him ALL DAY.

Frank Jr may be retired. But he was definitely a Director (it's on his resume.) "Director" is just a basic title on the corporate ladder at Citi. I believe it falls between Senior VP and Managing Director (higher title) at Citi.
Is this Frank Denaro still alive?
Also, were any of these allegations of money laundering ever caught (by the SEC?) or ever publicly reported anywhere (Wall Street Journal, etc.?)? (the Citi/Denaro connection/portion)

I assume he's still alive. He's only four years older than Carl. He couldn't have climbed all THAT far up the ladder in just 4 our 5 years. So, IF Carl's shooting does have something to do with Citibank-Nugan Hand, then that must have had something to do with his stepfather, not Frank Denaro. And Carl's stepfather would have been on a first-name basis with Christine Freund and every other person at Reynolds Securities.
Yeah, that's several episodes down the road.
And I'm still VERY curious about Carl's mother. Very curious.

Professor, I’ve been a fan of these forums for a year but just joined. I’ve been interested and discussed on a podcast the Dermond Murders since 2017. I’ve taken my jet ski and filmed the route from the back of the Dermond’s to the dam the body was discovered twice. Can you expand at all on your theory about how the Dermond’s tie in? They moved to Reynolds’s plantation from New Jersey so probably had businesses dealings in New York. I’m gathering that for some reason they were silenced about either evidence or knowledge they held that could point back to Nugan Hand or drug trafficking linked to SOS murders? I know I was definitely reading TUE at the time, because I was trying to sort out the Steve Crawford/JA Getreu story. I must have googled the topic with Mentzer's name or something. And one way or another it was the name of the guy who helped Cavalli off Mincher. And of course a lot of other dirty laundry turned up with Pascal's name on it. One thing that intrigued me was Maury claiming that a frigging PLATOON of "hit men" had gone after Mincher. So, I wondered what made Mincher so dangerous. Hmmmmmm...how do I put this...A list (not "mine," so don't ask. Sorry) of unsolved murders associated with hospitals and certain investment banks we've been looking into for some time included Donna Lauria (and Jody LeCornu,) and of course, the Freund murder was associated with the Reynolds empire. (Hell, Google "Russell and Shirley Dermond" if you like your rich asshole murders WEIRD. Directly linked to Reynolds dynasty.) Also, some murders like the ones in Palo Alto linked to Getreu were also linked to hospitals in the area (not to mention Stanford U,) the murdered med students at hospitals that turned out to be associated with SOS, etc. Research into Frank Denaro naturally turned up the shooting of his stepson. I was reading all that stuff at the same time I was rereading TUE. The point is, at that moment, we were looking for "suspicious" hospitals that might turn out to be possible destinations for all this China White that hit the beach at Honolulu. Not the victims yet--just the hospitals, etc. Since the operation (whatever the fugg it was) had NOT been busted, it was natural to assume some people MUST have been silenced from time to time. And those murders must have gone unsolved. And while I was sitting around waiting for material like Pascal's book to arrive, I was re-reading TUE. I'm sure the topics SOS etc would have come up soon, but we had not gotten around to looking into UBI or the author of the book. We were just reading the book to see if we could figure out how such an operation MIGHT work, if at all. While I sat around waiting to get the actual book from an associate, I re-read TUE as fast as I could, mostly looking for anything related to Arliss Perry. IIRC, it was the "hospital guy" stuff in Maury's book that first rang a bell. "Huh. Wouldn't it be wild if..." And then rechecking those lists of murders, and there were those names again. I knew the name "Denaro" sounded familiar... And bear in mind, all this happened (to me) over the course of three or four 18-hour days. So I don't remember the precise chronology. I just remember calling my buddy (who has zero interest in this stuff) and telling him, "You know how there is always some crackpot claiming that SOS, Zodiac, Manson, blah blah blah is all one big conspiracy? Well, you're not going to believe this, but..."
