How do we know Don arrived before police? Just wondering where that came from. (If it's Gamberg or Dmac I'm throwing it out.)
Not saying the police took their time getting there--just saying police tend to talk to a few other people on their way out the door to the crime scene. Don probably put on pants and left.
He may have gotten there roughly the same time, but that's different than what this implies, don't you think?

Uh, isn't that in Shaver's report? He wasn't there when the first two deputies arrived to seal off the scene, but he was there by 8:45, when Shaver arrived, IIRC.
And this just highlights the biggest problem we have with this "case:" We end up depending way, way, way too much on these "Timelines," because we just don't have access to all the reports. If they even still exist. The one thing we know for sure is that the Timelines are chock full of wrong and missing information.
That's why I picked this "case" to add to the website--to get it out of the way, first. I don't usually review a case without ALL the files, and this case is the perfect example of why. I think that's it's greatest value--it shows WHY you just have to have ALL the case files if you think you're going to crack a cold case. But I think we have done a good job of blowing up the frame around Bo and Marty.
Oh, sure, I have a "theory" about it, based on what IS available. But I'm NOT saying the case is "closed." Far from it. I'm only saying, "Based on what we DO have, I think this is the most likely explanation."
Who knows? If you guys keep digging and keep discussing, maybe we'll shake some more files and evidence out of the trees. CA DOJ *should* have copies of everything. But unless Sheila, Ricky, or Greg ask for them, our chances of getting them are slim.
But do NOT let me discourage you!
