Here's an interesting Reddit from D:
We have Marty lying about the bridge being "locked, PERIOD!", then Gamberg found an interview with the guy who went over the bridge that night multiple times, even took his gal over that bridge. Then Gamberg was astounded to find a falsified document where the guy said he was pissed the bridge was locked that night, because it was normally open! In this fake report, he says he and his gal climbed over the gate MULTIPLE TIMES that night.
Well, well, well. Another report we don't seem to have.
So if it's locked, Marty is lying. And, if it isn't locked, Marty is lying.
Gotcha.

So true so true. If the report was "false" maybe it was from the person giving the statement (would that be Doug Gleason who lived across the swinging bridge?). Anyway I don't think it much matters if it was locked or unlocked or the bridge was completely fallen down because this is what was written in the last news story on the murders:
Where are those sheriff's reports showing the gate was always unlocked? Dmac claimed to have seen them but it didn't seem to matter much to Mike G. who made it clear he did not believe Tina was carried across the swinging bridge. There was a lock on the bridge for some purpose so at some time the bridge apparently was locked for whatever reason. Maybe Marty (who didn't live over there thought it was always locked).

Where exactly was the Keddie swimming hole? Butterfly Valley once said it was to the left of the bridge. Does anyone know if this was right next to the bridge or if there was access to a swimming area right around Keddie resort?

Can someone please explain to me why Tina was taken from the house? If she was killed in the Cabin, why not leave her body there with the rest of the bodies? If she was taken alive, then Why?

Good question. We were hoping you knew. There IS the possibility she ran off.

Hello guest. Tom is right. There is the possibility that she ran off. The theory that most people believe is that she was taken to throw off the investigation. The obvious person to take to throw off the investigation would have been Dana Wingate. The theory is that she was allowed to dress and put on jacket and shoes before leaving the house. Why would someone that had already, or intended to murder three people have taken any sympathy on her?
Here are some other possibilities why she could have been taken.
1. Tina could have been taken outside the house as she returned home. She could have been abducted outside and immediately taken to someone's car. But that would mean she came home closer to the time it is believed these murders took place 11:00pm - 2:00am.
2. Tina could have told someone she was pregnant (whether she was or not) and that would be a problem for someone. There were rumors but those rumors are questionable. But it is a possibility someone thought she was and took her away from the scene to keep that from coming out.
3. Maybe Tina was planning on meeting someone that night. Tina had been molested and had went to the police months earlier. Her teacher at the time was later arrested for molesting. It was told by Greg Hagwood he had been spotted at the Keddie Bar that night. Who knows.
4. Tina was involved herself in the crime. Something could have happened in the house that night and a fight started and got out of hand. She could have then called someone to come help her or pick her up.
Anyway it is a question probably no one will ever know unless Justin or Ricky decide to talk.
I'd like to add that there is also a theory that she was taken because she was a "witness" but we all know there were 3 witnesses left alive in 28 that night.

There's no evidence of Tina being taken out of the cabin against her will. I think the last we've heard of Tina is the statement Justin said about Tina coming out with a blanket. And, I'm not sure how trustworthy he is. Then, or now. If he saw that, wouldn't he have (at least mentioned in passing) that (they) allowed Tina to get dressed?
Would Sue have gone to bed knowing Tina wasn't home? Prrroooobbably not. Her glasses were on the table and she was in bed. So, we can prrroooobbably can cross off #1.
With #2, there was only one initial source that I've come across. She told AT LEAST two people. And, they told some people and, well, rumor. Not sure anyone would be willing to take her that particular night over a rumor. (She was alone, a lot.) Now, if Tina would have shown up dead (without the family being killed), this would be a possibility.
Tina was planning on meeting someone that night. That has a ring of truth to it. I think she was acting pretty darn happy that day and night seeing how many NOs she'd been told. As far as the teacher goes, he may be totally unrelated to this case except for he had a picture of Tina in his classroom and he turned out (later) to be a creep.
Was Tina involved in the crime? Hmmmm....Gamberg would know what those shoe/boot prints on the bloody carpet show. So, where are ya Gammon my main man?
#5: Ever have a little sister? Ever BE a little sister? Nobody has bigger ears than a younger sibling. lol IF Johnny and Dana came home shortly after 10ish to check in with Sue (yeah, Ma we're home just gonna watch a little telly) and she went to bed, did Tina crawl into bed clothed and wait to hear them leave? She could have gone right out that door behind them and nobody would be any the wiser. Have you heard whether the TV was on or off? I know it was dusted for prints.
People knew J & D were planning on sneaking out....did Tina? Annnd, I find it hard to believe Sheila and Alyssa went right to sleep. Maybe that's why Jim Seabolt was up and down, too ~ making sure those doggone girls stayed in the house. When the family was killed, Sheila called Donna. It sounds more like she wanted information from Donna, not comfort.

I am probably the only one, but I don't think Sue was a great mother. But in death everyone becomes a saint. A good example is Mike G's description of Johnny. "Johnny was a rascal". No, Johnny was a 15 year old out of control teenager who was also a thief. He had stolen drugs from Rose B. no once but twice.
From the Timeline
Jack, who lives across from the Wheelers, asked James S. Jr. to get Sue so she could meet his friend, Daryl J. (2-3 weeks before the murder)
This comes from the Shaver Report
Dishman introduced him to Ms. Sharp last week 4-3-81 Friday. He took her to the Keddie Bacakdoor and they had a few drinks, and they went back to his trailer. She went home appox 0230 hours 4-4-81. He saw her again during the week. The last time he saw her she cooked him a meal at his trailer, had drinks and she left in the early morning hrs. This was Thursday 4-9-81.
She wasn't at home 4-3-81 tucking her kids into bed nor was she waiting on anyone to return home. Who was watching the kids? For sure it was not Sue. This says a lot for Sue as a parent. She wasn't waiting up for Johnny to return home either but maybe that was his night to say at the Meeks' house.
From documentary- Tina's Teacher
"She was struggling. She really didn't get the help she needed at home."
I take that to mean Tina, who already had a learning disability, wasn't getting any help from mom with her homework.
From the Timeline
The man suspected of molesting Tina Sharp sees Sue and Daryl J. playing pool with “Suede” at the Maple Leaf Bar, in Belden, the last two weeks of March
David Russell of the Maple Leaf Bar say Daryl J brought Sue to the bar twice the week before the 187, 3 days apart. (David Russell/Bradley)
Who was watching the kids? Johnny? Sheila?
Zonita Seabolt was not the only one that didn't want her kids at Sue's.
KNOETTGEN, GAIL
Lived Keddie, her son to spend night at Sharp's(4/11), no - because Sue didn't watch her kids close enough, noticed nothing
<SHANKS>
Regardless of what kind of parent Sue was she didn't deserve what happened to her or her family. But it could be that someone had watched her. They knew of her comings and goings. Maybe it was someone that was interested in Tina.

Ooooo I agree. Sue wasn't a great mom at all. (Not even a good mom knowing all we know now.) I was just going by her glasses on the table ~ I think Tina came home before Sue went to bed.
